“Good morning New London! It’s going to be a bit on the chilly side today and we may see some snow flurries, so you better bundle up! The high-” I turn my alarm clock off and jump out of bed.

I had woken up at four due to my nervous jitters about my first day of work, but I didn’t allow myself to actually get out of bed until five thirty. In the hour that I was awake I kept thinking about that homeless man with his intriguing green eyes. They were beautiful to say the least.

Stretching, I raced into the bathroom. My feet hitting the cold tile sent shivers up my body. I hopped in the shower and I made sure that I was squeaky clean before getting out. I’m so excited to finally start work. I’ve been waiting for this day and now it’s finally here!

After I finished, I dried myself off and put a suit on for work. I wasn’t sure what attire they wanted us in, but I wore a suit to seem professional. I did my tie up as I headed to the kitchen where the smell of bacon and pancakes were wafting out.

“Hey Li,” I greeted with a grin as I hopped up on a stool.

“Someone looks ready for their first day of work,” Liam commented as he slid a plate of breakfast over to me, “You should have gotten dressed after you ate just in case you spill on yourself Ni.”

“I won’t spill, I promise,” I reply as I dig into the food. I moan at the delicious taste.

Liam chuckles as he sits with his plate next to me, “I’m glad you like it.”

“What do you think it will be like?” I question as we eat.

“I have no idea, but I hope it’s nice,” Liam replies, putting a bite of pancakes in his mouth.

    “Yeah,” I agree.

The rest of breakfast is spent in silence, thinking about what our new jobs will be like. After breakfast Liam and I clean up the dishes and while Liam went to get dressed, I went to brush my teeth.

The two of us left the flat in no time. It was freezing outside and I couldn’t help but feel bad for all of the homeless that would freeze to death during the winter. I prayed that the green eyed boy would make it.

As we passed the spot where I had seen the boy, I found myself searching for him. To my dismay, I didn’t spot him. A part of me wanted to stay and search until I found him, but unfortunately I couldn’t do that due to work.

Lou and Zayn met us on the monorail when we made it to their stop. All of us bantered and cracked jokes until we finally reached our stop.

We got off the train and followed the sea of people into the biggest building in the city, Styles Enterprise.

“Where are we supposed to go?” I asked, staring around the elegant room in awe.

“I’m guessing we meet over there,” Zayn said, pointing to a group of timid looking first days like us.

We headed over to the horde of people and waited for someone to come out and speak with us. In no time, a burly man squeezed into a suit called for our attention.

“Hello. I’m Max, and I’ll be guiding you around Styles Enterprise today. Welcome.”

Applause rang out and I grinned at Louis who was yelling his brunet head off.

Max smiled, “Alright, alright, settle down,” he waited until the crowd became silent, “Right this way.”

Max led us into the center of the lobby onto the large Style’s crest that was embedded into the ground.
