Lani Pierce
I woke up the next morning feeling emotionally drained. I got up from my bed, so slow, it would make zombies look fast, and went towards my bathroom so I could take a shower.
After I freshened up, I pulled on white high waist shorts, a black t-shirt that's a little bigger than me, white airforces and a pair or white socks. While I was packing my book bag, I heard a knock on my room door.
"Who is it !?" I half yelled.
"It's me, Marcus."
I walked towards the door and opened it.
"Yes ?" I asked tapping my index finger on the door.
"Can I come in ?"
"Sure." I stepped aside and allowed him to enter. Once he had entered, I closed the door and went back to what I was doing.
"I was wondering if you could accept Torian for me ?" He said.
I spun around to check if he was serious.
I chuckled menacingly. "Marcus, Marcus, Marcus, you want me to accept Torian, the girl who got Kaiden, you're 'bestfriend' the one you couldn't stay away from, killed, for you." I asked slowly, enunciating every single word.
"Yes." He replied glaring at me.
"You really do have a small brain."
"Lani, what she did happened a few years back, you should just let it stay in the past."
"Of course you'd say that. You wouldn't know what it's like."
"What do you mean ?" He asked.
"Nothing."
"One of these days, you're going to find a mate, and then we'll see how this goes."
"Get. Out."
He was about to speak again but wisely decided to hold his tongue. I then sat down on my bed, running my fingers through my hair. I already had a lot to deal with in my life and now adding my brothers problems were getting too much for me. It's too bad he doesn't know that I know a lot more about him than he let's on. Yay, for being a little sister who spies on her brother.

"Hey, are you going to be ok ?" My aunt asked while parking infront of the school. I couldn't be bothered with driving my own vechile today so I asked her to drive me.
"When am I not ?"
"Is there something bothering you ?"
"Of course not." I replied with a small laugh.
"You do know you can tell me anything, right ?"
I nodded my head.
"Alright but if someone's bothering you, let me or your uncle know." She said her voice laced with concern.
"I'm not a little kid anymore. If someone bothers me, I have no problem in dealing with them."
"Lani, you can't just go around fighting every one you don't like. You can shift without realisation and expose who you really are."
"But-"
"No buts."
"Fine." I said ending this conversation.
