"Hey (Y/N)." I walked in to see (Y/N) sitting there in bed, still awake.
"Armin? What are you doing here?" She jumped.
"I wanted to show you something." I walked over to her.
"What? It's late." She tilted her head in confusion.
"Yeah, I know. Just follow me. I promise it'll be worth it."
"Uh...okay." She jumped out of bed, and put on some shows and a sweater. I gently grabbed her hand, guiding her to our destination.
"Where are we going?" Her eyes wandered as she scanned the scenery.
"You'll see." We passed through trees, bushes, and other greenery in the forest, looking for light in the pitch black night.
"I can't see." (Y/N) moved a branch out of her face.
"We're almost there."
I searched for the sounds of talking and music, or the lights of a painted lantern. I took one step and saw light at the end of the pathway.
"There!" I pointed towards the light. I ran, being carefully aware of (Y/N) behind me and the rocks on the ground, until branches blocked my view. Gently,
I moved the branches to reveal bright red, yellow, blue and green lights. There was music. Loud, celebratory music. The smell of delicious food was in the air. People were talking, dancing, and even singing. I could hear (Y/N) gasp, and I turned to see her shocked, gazing at the festival before her eyes."Ar...Armin! Where on earth did you find out about this place?" She lowered her hand from her mouth, purely amazed.
"I-I read a lot. This village has a festival every year, and I read that it's really nice, so I thought that I should take my...best friend to check it out." She looked up at my face, smiling softly.
"Thank you." Her smile could literally melt my heart.
"U-uh, no problem." I rubbed the back of my neck in embarrassment. The cute little giggle that she gave me was just adorable. She's adorable.
"So, you said you read that it's nice?" She smirked.
"Yeah." I was unsure on what she was going to do next.
"Well then, let's see if the author was right!" Before I knew it, she was pulling me towards the village entrance, both of us giggling with wide grins plastered on our faces.
We abruptly stopped at a stand. There were children and couples playing games, trying to win handmade toys.
"Armin, look!" (Y/N) pointed to a small wooden doll, resting on the shelf.
I stepped forward, determined to win this doll for (Y/N).
To be continued...
