Whitley Schnee's pov

Ruby was right, Tyrian is quick. Whitley struggles to play the offensive and defensive but he can't give up. He can't leave Oscar longer than he has to. He looks back to make sure Oscar is still there but realizes how far they've gone.

"You lead me here on purpose." Whitley lowers his guard and tears start to fill his eyes. "You lead me here so I would be away from him."

Tyrian laughs "Now you caught on. You know I thought Schnee's were brighter than that but oh well." He lunges forward with his weapons and Whitley let's his tears fall as he gets back into position. He looks back one last time and then back to Tyrian but instead a figure of a prince stands in front of him facing Tyrian.

Whitley looks at the ground around him and a Schnee glyph pattern lays there. Whitley looks at his Rapier and focuses on the prince.

The prince takes a few steps forward and takes the same position Whitley does and attacks Tyrian in a more polished way. Tyrian takes a few steps back and glares at Whitley before retreating.

Whitley falls and his cries become more audible. "Whitley!" Weiss rounds the corner and slides next to him.

She sees the prince fade and she looks at him. "You unlocked it." she whispers.

"Whitley come on." She helps him up and runs with him to where she left Ruby and Oscar.

Whitley runs over to Oscar and Jaune reaches them at the same time. Whitley gets down by Oscar first and smiles when he sees that he's still alive.

"His aura took most of the damage but the poison is still spreading." Ruby says quietly. Whitley looks down at Oscar and puts his hand on Oscar's head. He starts to run his fingers through his hair as he cries. "You're okay, it's going to be okay. Just breathe. I've got you."

Jaune uses the rest of his aura to get Oscar to a semi stable state. "We still need to get him to a doctor." Ruby and Weiss look at each other and nod.

Weiss puts her hand on Whitley's shoulder "Whitley, Ruby needs to take Oscar."

Whitley shakes his head "I'm not, I'm not leaving him alone again."

Ruby looks at Whitley "Whitley, I can get him to a doctor quicker than a tram can, please." Whitley looks at Ruby and nods.

"Okay." He picks Oscar up and carefully hands him to Ruby. "Keep him safe please."

Ruby nods "Of course." She jumps into the air and turns into a swirl of rose petals,

"I need to get up there." Whitley says looking down at his hands covered in Oscar's blood from when he tried to stop the blood flow.

Weiss looks at Jaune "Get him up there." Jaune nods and calls for a transport. Weiss looks at Whitley, she gives him a hug and whispers "Stay safe." Whitley nods and she let's go. She wipes her eyes and turns away to go back to the others.
