Whitley Schnee's pov, a few months later

"Oscar." Whitley gets up on the ladder and taps Oscars shoulder "Oscar." Oscar turns onto his side and Whitley rolls his eyes. "Fine." He slides down the ladder and grabs his pillow. He climbs back up and slams it on Oscars face.

"What Was That For?!"

"You weren't waking up!" Whitley defends.

"That's called I was actually sleeping well."

"Well I wasn't and wanted to go look around some more."

Oscar rolls his eyes but smiles and humors Whitley anyways. He grabs his blanket and wraps it around him before leaving the dorm room. "Where were you planning on going?" Oscar asks

"Probably a music room, you showed me something that helps you sleep so I thought I'd show you something and maybe fall asleep also." Whitley says looking through some windows.

"Well I think there is one down here." Oscar takes the lead and takes a few more turns and they come to a music room.

"They do have a piano!" Whitley says

"What song are you going to play?" Oscar asks sitting down on the floor by the fireplace.

"I think it's called While You are Gone." Whitley says sitting down and getting familiar with the keys again.

"I don't think I've heard that one before." Oscar says smiling ready to hear it.

"I think it's pretty calming." he finds the starting note and starts playing it with no mistakes.

Oscar Pine's pov

Whitley starts playing and Oscar freezes.

So you have heard this song before... Oscar? Oscar!
Oscar starts to shake as the room starts to close in on him. "No wait." he whispers. The room gets darker around him and soon objects start to from in the shape of trees. "Oscar Run!" Oscar looks around and sees his mother in her hood. "Mom?"

"We've got to get him out of here." A huntress says

"Oscar go!" His dad yells fending off a beowulf.

Oscar tries to run but can't move his feet. He puts a hand up to his neck and looks at it. Covered in blood.

Oscar it's not real.

"We need to get the kid out of here!" Another huntsmen orders

"I don't want to be here." Oscar says a little bit louder than before.

"Oscar!" Whitley's voice seems distant too far away for him to reach.

Oscar tries to look around the room to try to find things that are real but the pain in his head and chest is too much for him to handle.

"Oscar! Oscar you need to breathe just focus on that." Oscar tries but doesn't stop shaking and the pain in his head doesn't go away.

"Oscar it's okay." Whitley puts his hands on Oscar's shoulder to try to give him something stable to focus on. Oscar instinctively takes his hand and throws it as hard as he can and it collides with Whitley's face. The sound filling the room. "Don't Touch Me!" He yells backing away. Whitley takes several steps back holding his hand to his cheek where Oscar struck him.

Whitley puts his hand down and opens his mouth to yell back but stopped. Scared about what would happen because Oscar is his first friend. So he stayed quiet. Oscar meets his eye and then looks down to his hand realizing what he did.

"Wh-wh" He grabs his head and looks down "Whit- I-" He looks back up with tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry." He buries his face in his hands and sobs. Whitley shakes his head and walks over to him.

"Stay in the present." he puts his arms around Oscar, surrounding him. He listens to the beat of Whitley's heart, hearing the pounding. They sit there, just enjoying each others presence. "It's okay, everything is okay." Oscar nods and nuzzles his head into Whitley's neck. Whitley closes his eyes and puts his hand on the back of Oscar's head. "Thank you." Oscar whispers.

Whitley nods and scoots back to the fireplace making sure to not disturb the hug. Oscar lays down and rests his head on Whitley's lap. Whitley smiles and mindlessly runs his fingers through Oscar's hair. He starts humming a little tune to hopefully get Oscar to stop shaking.

Time goes by and Whitley looks down. Man those freckles so cute, wait.

"If you're getting cold then let's go back to the room."

"No, no, it's okay. It's fine here." Oscar says closing his eyes

Whitley nods and closes his eyes as well
