Whitley Schnee's pov, a year later

He walks into the living room and Oscar sits on the couch "Oh just shut up!" Whitley laughs and Oscar drops his knitting needles. "Oh sorry." Oscar says picking them back up. Whitley closes his book and walks to the back side of the couch.

"It's okay, I find it cute."

Oscar blushes and takes the yarn off of the needles and secures the ends. "Here."

Whitley takes the white scarf from him and smiles when he sees the snowflake at the bottom. He bends down over the couch and gives Oscar a kiss. "Thank you."

Oscar smiles and Whitley sits down on the couch next to him. He opens up the book and Oscar laughs. "You still have that old thing?"

Whitley closes it and pulls it to his chest. "Of course I do!"

Oscar smiles and grabs his old copy of the prince and the pauper. "I don't think we ever finished." Oscar says flipping to the last page that he remembers reading.

Whitley gets up and grabs a blanket. He pulls it around them and snuggles up to Oscar and he begins reading. "Why don't you start from the beginning?" Whitley suggests." Oscar smiles and starts at the beginning.

After hours of reading Oscar gets to the end where the pauper and the prince live in a nice house in the countryside. Oscar smiles and reads the authors note at the end. "Fairy tales are more than true. Not because they tell us that dragons and princes exist. But that dragons can be beaten, and princes can save each other." He closes the book and smiles.

Whitley looks up and smiles "You know how much I love you right?"

Oscar smiles and sets the book down. "I love you too."

Whitley smiles and closes his eyes. "Why do you have to be so cute?"

Oscar smiles and leans his head on Whitley's "That's all you." He closes his eyes and they drift off to sleep.
