Felicity didn't know what to expect in her sleep anymore. It could've been a nightmare, it might not have been. But she couldn't know unless she fell asleep.
When she dozed off in the back of the Impala with Cas, she found herself in a brightly lit forest. She looked all around, until she saw Django.
"Django?" She called.
"Hello, Felicity."
"Are you-"
"Yes, it's the real me. Not a figment of your imagination."
"Wait, so you could've done this the whole time? Alter my dreams so I wouldn't see... her, without having to... drink it?"
"Not always. Whatever's in your mind, it's powerful. I couldn't even read your thoughts. Until now. That extra dose really came in handy."
"What... what are you saying?"
"I'm saying, the plan worked."
"It's over then? No more nightmares?"
He smirked. "That's all up to me, El."
She furrowed her eyebrows. "What're you talking about?"
"You bought it all along. This whole time, you thought I was helping you. Let me tell you something honey, I was helping myself."
"Django-"
"That cure of mine, while it was authentic, I kinda lied about the key ingredient."
"Django... what have I been drinking?"

Dean pulled into the bunker garage and cut off the ignition. Before he knew it, he heard Felicity scream.
"El? El! What's wrong?"
She had woken up, tears streaming down her face. Cas had woken up as well, and tried to comfort her.
"Felicity, it's just a dream. It's okay."
She buried her face in his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her, rubbing her back soothingly.
"He lied to me. He lied to me." She mumbled into his coat.
"What?" Sam and Dean asked simultaneously.
"Who did? Who lied?" Cas asked.
"It's impossible to explain. And I've been meaning to explain it, but... I'd put you in danger."
"Felicity, listen to me. It's okay. You can tell us anything. It wouldn't put us in jeopardy. Just tell us."
"I'll explain it all inside. Not out here."
They went into the library and sat at the table, Sam and Dean sitting across from her, Cas seated beside her.
"Just start from the beginning." Cas spoke softly.
She took a deep breath. "It all started about six months ago. I... I started having nightmares. I was in a forest. This... dark forest. Like something from a horror movie. I'd keep running, but I'm not sure why. Everything just... it tells me to run. Until I find... a cabin. This old cabin. I always tell myself not to look inside. Don't look in the window. And... I always do."
She took a shuddery breath, Cas placing a sympathetic hand on her shoulder. She managed to continue her horror story.
"I see... a shadow. This shadowy figure. And it's... torturing someone."
"Torture?" Dean repeated. "Torturing who?"
"I... I don't know her personally. Though it's safe to assume she knows me, seeing how she's in my head."
"What happens then?" Sam asked.
"It... it looks at me and... starts to torture me, too. It carves into my skin, hollows out my insides, kills me in my sleep every night. Then I'd wake up. And it happened every night, until...."
"Felicity," Cas began. "What aren't you telling us? What's wrong?"
She hesitated before answering. "I met an angel."
"An angel?" Dean repeated. "Who was it?"
"His name is Django. He came to me and told me he had a cure for my nightmares. Said he could make them stop."
"How?" Sam asked.
"There's an old remedy. When I drink it, it gives me strength. I can stop the nightmares at will. I've been drinking it for a while now."
"What have you been drinking?" Dean pressed.
She took a deep breath, trying to remain relaxed. And when that didn't work, she simply answered, "Human blood."
This was enough to shock all three of them. Never would they have guessed it. Human blood.
"Felicity-"
"I'm sorry," She cut Cas off. "I felt like I had no other choice. He said... he said I was dying. And the blood was the only way to save me. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Tears began to blur her vision.
"It's okay, Felicity. You thought you were doing the right thing."
"I knew it was never the right thing. But... I trusted Django. Look where that got me."
"He lied, didn't he?" Dean asked. "He lied about something."
"He did. He lied about... pretty much everything. I thought he... I thought he cared. He said he loved me, and I believed him. I'm such an idjit."
"What else did he lie about?" Sam asked.
"The blood. He said it would cure me, but... recently, he told me that... the blood wasn't human."
"What was it?" Cas asked. "What has he been giving you?"
She took deep breaths to keep from sobbing. She opened her mouth to answer, but she suddenly felt a horrible pain spread quickly throughout her body. She cried out in pain and collapsed, Cas catching her as she fell.
"Felicity?" He became quite concerned.
She kept screaming, Dean and Sam coming from around the table.
"What the hell is going on?" Dean asked.
"If this is what I think it is, then she's...." Cas trailed off.
"Cas, what's happening?" Sam demanded.
"She's transforming."
But before anything else could be said, there was the sound of fabric tearing, and Felicity had two wings sprouting from her back.
"Cas... wh-what's... what's going on?" Dean stammered.
"She's right. It wasn't human blood."
"What kind of blood was it?" Sam asked.
Cas looked up at them. "Angel blood."
