"Alrighty, M. Let's start!" I cheer excitedly. Maya and I's weekly get together has finally arrived. Every Sunday, Maya and I sleep over one of each other's houses and spend the night doing whatever.

We usually do manicures, pedicures, watch movies, have a dance party (with just the two of us), we try to make up a handshake. Our years of being best friends not once have we ever thought of doing a handshake when we were younger. For some reason doing childish things when you're older is so much funner.

Maya and I do whatever we both find fascinating and interesting. Even if it's just talking for hours and hours.

Currently, we are playing our second round of Monopoly. Maya won the first round, she definitely cheated. She won because she bought all the train stations and Mayfair. I only bought the companies and Oxford street. Maya chose the thimble as her playing piece and I chose the wheelbarrow.

"I'm going to destroy you." I tell her and she shakes her head.

"Nope, I destroyed you once, I can do it again." Maya smirks and we shake hands before she rolls the dice. The game goes on for a while before we both decide to stop playing. The game ends in a draw, which makes us both annoyed.

"Bloody hell, I didn't sign up for this." Maya complains.

"Ugh, I know," I shake my head as we pack up the game. We are both sore losers incase you can't tell. I get up from the wooden floor and walk over to the shelf where all my board games are. The floor creaks as I struggle to put the game back in its original shelf. "I deserved to win."

I hear the floor creak from beside me, which makes me realise that Maya is standing beside me.

"You did not! Here, put it at an angle," Maya suggests as she moves the other board games, trying to make room to put Monopoly back. "There."

Maya and I laugh lightly when the game fits perfectly when all I had to was just move it slightly to the left.

"Alrighty, M." Maya and I walk to my bedroom. It's a small room but it has all the essentials. A single blue bed is in the corner to the left, with a desk beside it. The desk has a couple books that I'm reading lying down, it also has a couple candle making things. A mirror is placed on the wall next to the desk and my closet is in front of my bed.

I jump on my springy bed and Maya sits in front of me on the desk chair. The younger girl by 5 months stares at my candle making process.

"Are you still doing the same candle from like... last week?" Maya points to my desk and I sigh with a nod.

"Yeah, I haven't had time. I regret telling the sky people that they can come to me if they have any questions or if they just want to talk. A lot of them took it a bit too literal." I huff.

"So you and Miller have been hanging a lot since he came." Maya wiggles her eyebrows and I shake my head, throwing my sleeping pillow at her. She catches the silk pillow with ease.

"Whatever! We are just friends. Besides, he doesn't root for this team." I use my hands to indicate that I'm talking about girls by having it run across my body but not touching my actual body.

"Really!" Maya eyes widen. She clearly didn't expect this. "Who would've thought?"

"I know." I laugh. "Anyways, enough about me... you and Jasper will be making some adorable babies."

"Oh my gosh! Blair, shut up." Her cheeks turn crimson red and she covers her face, completely embarrassed.

I begin chuckling at my best friend and her crush on the dark haired space boy.

"I hate you."

"No, you don't."

"I like him, a lot. He's funny, cute, amazing. He's not threatened by the fact that I'm smart and doesn't get turned off by that."

"Aw, Maya!" I throw my arms around my friend. Her chestnut curly hair smashing into my face when I pull her close to me. It's sad that she even has to think that people don't like a girl smarter than her. "I would definitely date you."

I hear Maya's chest go up and down as the girl laughs at my comment. We release each other and go back to where I was sitting on the blue duvet bed.

"Thanks," She smiles. "I really like him. If I knew what love is then I'd be saying I love you to him but I haven't felt love for someone to another gender, who isn't my dad. I don't know how love feels to be able to tell him that I love him." My best friend explains, her chocolate covered eyes shine as she speaks.

My heart aches for her, it really does. Poor Maya doesn't know how to feel in love and I feel bad. When her mother died, she lost her best friend. She loved her mother so much, and it still hurts Maya, you can tell.

"When you love someone, you feel safe with them, you'll miss them when they aren't around, you won't be able to control your breathing. You'll feel different around them, but not a bad different, a good different. Your heart will accelerate or your breathing may stop for a moment when you realise that you're in love with Jasper. I'm just explaining from past experiences. Everyone feels love differently but it'll change you. It will."

Maya has a small smile on her face and her eyes were slightly getting teary but not actual tears has fallen down from her chocolate eyes.

"It sounds nice."

"It feels nice too. Have you felt any of that with Jasper?"

"Just acceleration in my heart, but I wouldn't want to risk saying I love you, just because of my heart."

"Yeah, don't just base it on that. You'll need more evidence, if you believe you love Jasper. It's okay if you think you're struggling to fall in love with him. Don't force yourself to love him, it may come eventually or maybe it won't. You have nothing but time."

"Thank you, B."
