The sun felt soothing on her skin, as she slowly opened her eyes to find herself now immersed in the melody of the robin's chirps. The small window, next to her bedside, would never cease to remind her of the wonders of the world. Be it a blooming tree, or even the small robin family perched on a nest, that window would show it all. The feeling of serenity, chasing away all the darkness produced from this ill-fated world, was nothing but pure salvation. Those were the moments that  made her feel even the slightest bit of normality. The unfairness of it all was ever so agonizing.

She was strong. Pushing it all away and not allowing this darkness to keep drowning her. Her strong hunger for answers and the feeling of a chance at salvation and freedom; was what kept her going. A truly terrible situation for a mere child to be in but she had nothing to lose. She was born with nothing but a curse that kept her from being anything but normal. Even death seemed like a tempting offer.

This world was as strange as it could get; her mere existence proved it. With all that she had experienced, everything else seemed normal, as if living in a fictional book.

There she was, the most normal looking girl, deeply immersed in the melody of the raven's chirps. Who would even think that this child would experience living hell everyday of her agonizing life. Her eyes would tell a different story, a story that her hands could never tell. They showed a glimpse of hope, the chance of being freed from damnation. Escaping this curse that only seemed to be unjust punishment to her and not her mother. Yes, her life was truly miserable. Indeed, there was hope for the innocent, a loophole, and she had found it. It laid beneath the eyes of a boy whom was far from normality himself.
