Although she was terrified of what had happened, a part of her was somewhat relieved. Maybe she wasn't able to see people's life events anymore. Life would be better for her and she wouldn't have to wear the gloves, which were now an aspect of hers. She had to find out if this intuition was truly a reality or the beginning of another calamity in her already messed up life.
Slowly, she made her way down the, now empty, halls of the academy. Her mind in a completely different dimension, she was bound to end up getting consumed by the now recurring memories of the strange boy, whose life; she couldn't see. The gloves were crammed in the pocket of her pleated skirt, and sure enough they wouldn't be there forever. She had her hands in a tight knot, as to make sure no unintentional touching occured.
Her name was plastered on a door, this was the door that she would now see everyday, a part of her life now. It was still early, but a lot of people had already made their way to their classes. She opened it and quietly stepped in, nobody seemed to notice her presence. This was good. She didn't like the extra attention. A pair of fake smiles greeted her and there they were, like a pair of devils she met the gazes of her siblings.
"Damn, am I really that cursed?" she thought to herself, when she noticed their unwelcoming and utterly revolting presence. Making her way down the rows, eyes started to fix on her. The chair way at the back, was calling her. As she sat, she noticed those eyes. Eyes that showed awe, mesmerization, jealousy, wanting and obviously envy. She just stared at her desk, like a motionless doll as one by one the eyes stopped gazing at her.
Something felt quite off, and it was not the gazes she was receiving. Her head turned, and there he was. The boy whom she touched, the one that brought her no agony of getting dragged and seeing an outburst of memories, the one who was driving her mad. She recognized him, even if their encounter was just for a matter of mortifying seconds. He gave out a somewhat mysterious aura and sure enough, she felt that she had to get close to him. She had to know the reason as to why she saw nothing when her fingers were laid on him.
