kaloni opened the door to edwin's house.

when they were younger edwin told her never to knock, to just come in with scarlett. this is because they or she is family.

"¡hola mamá! ¡estoy en casa!" she screamed out. though she knew english it was preferred spanish, which was perfectly fine. (hello mama! i'm home!)

"kaloni, estás de vuelta! ¿pensé que tú y eddie iban a estar en un hotel?" she ran into the room grabbing some of kaloni's stuff. (kaloni, you are back! i thought you and eddie were going to be in a hotel?)

"no, lo querían en el hotel. ¡te extrañé!" she told her. (no, they wanted him at the hotel. I missed you!)

the older woman hugged her. she was another daughter to her. "yo también te extrañé. ¿qué te pusiste?" (i missed you too. what did you get to wear?)

"un traje. es blanco, muy bonito," she nodded. (a suit. it's white, very pretty.)

"cualquier cosa se verá increíble en ti, mija," she guided her to the kitchen wear food had been made. (anything will look good on you, dear)

"gracias. la comida se ve muy bien. ¿están los demonios en casa?" she asked. (thank you. the food looks very good. are the demons home?)

this earned her a smack. "sí, pero no los llames así," she warned. (yes, but don't call them that)

"¡bueno! ¡bueno!" she laughed. "elian! elaysha!" she screamed. (okay! okay!)

two pairs of footsteps came from down the stairs.

"KALONI!" the two screamed and jumped on her.

"ugh! im getting old!" she laughed picking them up.

"si te estás haciendo viejo, ¿qué soy yo?" a voice asked. (if you're getting old then what am i?)

"mayores que los dinosaurios papá!" she laughed so did the children. (older than the dinosaurs papa!)

"¡ay!" he grumbled. (ouch)

"im joking, you know that."

"i know! is edwin not coming?" he asked.

"i always knew you loved him more than me!" she laughed.

"los extrañamos chicos!" momma said. (we missed you guys!)

"we miss you too, i'm sure he'll stop by at some point," she offered.

"nosotros también lo extrañamos! escuchamos que hay grandes premios!" elian said. (we miss him too! we hear that there are great prizes!)

"¡tú y Eddie también están listos para ellos!" elaysha added. (you and eddie are up for them too!)

"sí lo soy. ¿adivina qué? ¡nosotros también vamos a ganar!" she said confident. (yes, i am. guess what? we're gonna win too!)

kaloni soon got situated and set-up in edwin's room, seeing that it was practically her's as well.

soon, everyone is home, edwin, and titi too. they sit for dinner and talk. a happy family. laughing and play arguing. it's loud, but it's a full void.

after dinner, they hang out together, watch a movie and talk.

soon, edwin has to go to the hotel. they exchange goodbyes, but it was okay, they'd see him soon. besides, they say goodbye a lot.

it's bed for the youngest two of the bunch next. then titi and then their parents.

she realized she, at some point has to go to bed too. a long day was to come. she knew it, but there was a lot more to be expected than what she had thought.

k, so basically edwins family is domican, but here's the thing; domicans have their own lingo so i worked off of "normal" spanish using translate. so if it isn't up to standard blame it on that.
