kaloni had been checked out of the hospital and brought to her room.

her cats greeted her will happy meows and rubbing up against her leg. at least they were happy.

she was in her bed for hours. at times she was asleep, others on her phone, or she was just staring at the ceiling.

FRIDAY alerted the team whenever she got up. they were worried about her, they cared, but this annoyed her.

if she wanted to go to the restroom someone bursted into her room yelling at her to lay down. she was BEYOND annoyed. she was an adult. she's practically been an adult since she was a child. why were they babying her?

the girl frustratedly got up from bed and went to her dresser. she grabbed a rosary, it wasn't hers, it was scarlett's rosary. she was gifted it.

she sat on the floor with rosary in her hand and stared a blank wall.

she was thinking. she was angry. not at the team, maybe a bit, but she was mostly angry with herself.

how the hell did they get passed her? she made sure they were passed out or dead. how did one get past her, let alone get a fucking gun?

these thoughts pierced her head.

she started to cradle herself and a few tears ran down her face.

'you don't get to cry.' she thought to herself.

she's not supposed to cry no matter what it is. whether it's over a person, over herself, over the things seen. no, she doesn't get to cry.

'no one see's through you. not until you get over your shit' she thought angrily.

she whipped her face and got up. she was stone-faced. she walked over to her dresser and put scarlett's rosary back where it belonged.

she walked back over to the bed and crawled back in it. she put her blankets back on. percy and clem adjusted to their owner being back into bed.
