"What's the plan, Logan?" Patton asked, a determined look in his eyes. He didn't wanna lose his "son"... Not to his brother, Zane... He couldn't... Not when Patton and Virgil have become such good friends over the years...
He couldn't give up now.
"Well... We'll have to find a way into the Dark Scape... Without being seen... I'm assuming they'll keep him locked up somewhere... As sad as that is..." Logan said, looking down. "I wish I could've done more to help him..."
"You did your best... All three of us did... Poor Virgil... I hope they aren't hurting him..." Patton wiped a year from his own cheek.
"If they do... We'll find out... And unleash Roman on them."
Patton giggled a bit, but it didn't fully wipe his sad smile off his face. "Logan?"
"Yes, Patton?"
"What if Virgil doesn't want to come back...?"
"I promise you, he will. Especially if they harm him in any way. Surely, he misses us."
"You're right... It's just... When he came out as being a former Dark Side, I was shocked..." Patton admitted.
"I mean... It was a bit obvious..."
"True. That edgy music he always listens to," Patton mumbles.
"And the whole emo get up..."
"But that's what makes Virgil... Virgil. We can't take away from him. He's perfect the way he is."
"I suppose so."

He put down his samurai sword and turned out the lights. He walked over to his desk, where papers of stories and plays were scattered all about, and picked up a picture of him, Logan, Patton, and Virgil... Roman already missed the Emo Nightmare... His...Emo Nightmare...
Just thinking of Virgil with... The Darks... Deceit... That lying slippery snake... His brother, Remus... Just thinking of his name made Roman roll his eyes in disgust. He always talked about killing Roman- even though he was apparently joking, and would be one of the most annoying... Things... On the planet. Well... In Thomas's mind, but still!
"Virgil..." Roman muttered quietly, staring at the picture, almost in disbelief at what really happened. He can just as easily imagine all four of them downstairs, watching a movie or playing a board game, or just making a video...
A bunch of memories started flowing through his head at once... At first, they were happy, cheerful memories... But then they got dark...
'Virgil never wanted to be a Light Side. He was born a Dark and will always stay one. You can't change that.'
'You always mocked and called him names. No wonder he came back to us.'
'You have no idea how long we've waited for Paranoia's arrival back...'
'Paranoia...'
'Paranoia...'
'Virgil is PARANOIA.'
'Oh brother... You have no idea how happy it makes me to see you sUfFeR...'
"Remus! Get out of my head!!!!" Roman yelled, the anger and guilt thrashing inside of him, where it blindly took him over for a moment, causing him to punch the wall, leaving a dent in the chipped paint. It took Roman a few seconds to realize his hand was bleeding from the impact, although he didn't care... He just wanted his friend back...
"Paranoia isn't real... It's Anxiety... Virgil... You have it all wrong... I know my friend! He isn't a villain like YOU!!!" Another bellow came from Roman's mouth as he leaned against the wall and slid down until he was sitting on the floor. He looked down at his hand and it was mostly covered in blood now. He just held his wrist in his good hand and looked up at the ceiling, tears rushing down his face, getting his Prince suit slightly wet.
But did he care? No.
He lost his friend...
To his enemies...
Corruption started to take over him as he closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath. He knew deep inside what he had to do.
Fighting to stand up, he balanced himself once up and strode out of his room- not before snatching his sword off the floor.
He almost ran down the stairs, and to the living room, where Patton and Logan were chatting.
Gripping his sword, he darted part them, without much of a growl and started to head to the exit of the Mind Palace, until they stopped him.
"Roman. We go together. Not alone. Don't you dare think about leaving without us," Logan said, narrowing his eyes.
Roman kept his back to them as he sighed in anger. His knuckles started to turn white from how hard he held that sword.
"No, Logan. I won't let them take you two either. It's not. Happening. So don't waste your energy holding me back..."
"Roman, please-"
"Patton. I. Said. Don't. Try." Roman said, turning back to look at them. His eyes churned in anger and his inner pride began to shine through.
"Roman... Don't let this get to you... If we can just sit down and talk about how to plan this out, maybe we can-"
"I'm done with them, Logan. Deceit, Remus, Zane... All of them! And this STUPID Paranoia nonsense! If I hear that word ONE. MORE. TIME, I'll stab something."
"Roman... This isn't like you... You're starting to scare me..." Patton said, unease in his voice.
"Good. Now, I'll be back with Virgil. Do NOT come after me," Roman snarled.
And with that, he left Patton and Logan behind...
