Chapter Ten

Real quick, before the story continuation, I just wanna explain something really quick. So, as you've read, most of the sides have a Dark Side brother. My reasoning behind this is because I just picture the opposite of the Light Sides and the Lights being brothers, much like Roman and Remus, in a way. The only brother relationship I'm making different if Virgil and Braxton's. In this one, since both are originally Darks, I decided to put Anxiety and Guilt together, since both can connect to each other in real life situations. Other sides may not be brothers to any light side, but they could inevitably be connected to a side, perhaps... And I'm just talking about one Light Side. If this doesn't make since, read this chapter and you'll see >:3

Sorry for making a friggin paragraph for this- just wanted to clarify ^^ Enjoy!!

"Is he coming?"

"Yep. He's easy to crack."

"Yeah. It's fun to mess with Princey."

Deceit smirked at Adrian and Andre as they came back to him, succeeding in what they were supposed to do. "Excellent... Now he can see for himself how Virgil is doing. I'm sure it'll upset him more."

"It'll rip him apart," Andre said. "Can't wait to watch."

"I'll go make some popcorn for this show," Adrian said, heading to the kitchen. Once he left, Andre raised an eyebrow at Deceit.

"What's wrong? You have regret written all over your face."

"Oh? It's... Nothing. I'm alright," Deceit said, turning his back to Andre. "You may leave now."

Andre looked very confused as he left Deceit's room, and followed Adrian.

"So do you like any of them?" Braxton asked Virgil, grinning. They were still seated on the couch, while Isaac and Emerson were seated next to them, listening intently.

"I mean, I like them all. I've known them for years," Virgil said.

"Nononono, I mean, in a crush way? Do you have a crush on any of them?" Braxton asked, a slight playful smirk cast on his face as he nudged his brother.

Virgil's face lit up bright red as he tried to cover his face in his hands. "Whydoyouwannaknow?!?!"

Isaac and Braxton burst into giggles while Emerson chuckled.

"Come onnnnnn!!!!! Your secret's safe with us! Please?" Braxton asked, giving Virgil... The look.

"Ohhhhhh, don't look at me like that... You're making me feel guilty..." Virgil whined, hiding his face in his hoodie.

"I mean, that's my job, but STILL. WE MUST KNOW."

"Lemme guess... Patton!" Isaac said, grinning.

Virgil hesitantly shook his head.

"Hmm... Darn. How abouuuuuuuut... Logan!"

Virgil shook his head again.

The trio looked at each other with an 'Ohhhhhhhh' face.

"Roman?"

Virgil's cheeks got even brighter as he attempted to be invisible by staying still. Sadly, it didn't work. "Y-yeah..."

"No, I mean... Roman..." Emerson said, pointing at the entrance of the Dark Scape. Virgil looked over there, his eyes widening.

There Roman stood, sword in hand, a fierce look in his eyes as he scanned the room, looking for his Dark and Stormy Knight. He eventually found Virgil and literally ran over to him. "Virgil! Back away from him, you sick, twisted monsters!" Roman growled, grabbing Virgil and pulling him up with a strong jerk, it actually hurt Virgil's arm.

"What is going on in here?" Deceit asked, slithering into the room like always. He looked at Roman and raised an eyebrow. "Hello Roman. What brings you by?"

"Don't act dumb, snake... I'm here for Virgil..." Roman glared at him, pointing his sword at the snake.

"Roman... What are you doing?!" Virgil asked, the shock not quite leaving his voice as he jerked away from him. "Calm down!"

"We're leaving, Virgil. Now," Roman said, walking briskly toward the exit. When he noticed Virgil not by his side, he turned back around. Virgil didn't move. The fear in his eyes sent a wave of reality back into Roman. It hit him like a ton of bricks as the anger that blinded him left. His eyes widened as he saw Virgil clutching his hurt arm.

Roman did that to him...

"Virgil, I..." Roman attempted to apologize, when Zane, Adrian, Remy, and Andre ran up to him and threw him out and closed the door, making sure to lock it.

"Virgil, I am so sorry you had to deal with that... Let me get you some ice for your arm. Zane, would you assist me?" Deceit asked, walking to the kitchen. Zane followed.

When they were out of earshot, Deceit chuckled quietly at Zane. "Even more perfect than I thought! This makes everything SO much easier!"

"I have to say... That was indeed smart. Bravo," Zane said, sarcastically clapping.

"You seem upset you didn't think of it first."

"Oh, I am. But the main thing is Corrupting them all and getting exactly what we desire out of this," Zane said coldly.

"After that... What then? Go our separate ways?"

"Of course."

"Where would you go? There's not many options left in Thomas's mind, you know," said Deceit, a sympathetic look in his eyes. "Why don't you all just... Stay with us?"

"...Perhaps..." Zane started. "I'll think about it."

"Good."
