Silver Stone || ON HIATUS

chapter 5

Spinel's Injector is seen continuing pumping the pink liquid into the ground of the lighthouse hill, while Steven, Greg, and the refreshed Gems look up at the monolithic machine from the beach. "Wowee! That thing sure is big! You wanna climb it or somethin'?" Spinel asks Steven "Wait, wait. Are you serious right now? What about that stuff you said about how I won't stand a chance against your Injector?" "I said what now?" The oblivious Spinel scratches her head with her finger, contorting her stretchy arm into a loop. "You really don't remember, huh?" Just then, Lion approaches the group. "How 'bout you, Lion? Can you make any sense of this?" Lion simply growls in response while displaying a less-than-amused face thwn walking over to (y/n) "Aww, you're no help, either. At least, I can store this thing in your mane." Steven pulls out the deactivated scythe from his pocket and tries to shove it into Lion's mane... with no effect, as it simply slides off Steven's hand while (y/n) pets the giant pink cat. "I can't store things in Lion's mane now?! That's like the easiest thing I do!" Steven yells frustrated, he then picks up the weapon from the sand and looks up at the Injector in distress.

"What do I do? I've got no friends to help me except..." Steven shifts his view to Little Homeworld in the distance. "Bismuth, Lapis, and Peridot. Come on, guys! Let's go figure out how to fix this." Steven starts to run, followed by a laughing Spinel and (y/n) before coming to a halt as he notices nobody else is following. "G-Guys?" Pearl thwn speaks "My Um Greg, allow me." She summons a parasol from her gem and uses it to shield a wary Greg from the sun. Amethyst, standing near them, shapeshifts into Greg, leaving a confused Pearl to constantly switch between holding the parasol over both. "Ruby? Sapphire?Ruby" "She's not going anywhere with you." Sapphire then atarts walking to steven while saying "I do see us following him to the countryside." Making Ruby folllow "Never mind! We're going."

Greg stops steven and the other gems "Wait. Don't leave me alone with these two!" "Just keep an eye on them for now. I'll be back" Steven, (y/n) Spinel, Ruby and Sapphire begin walking towards Little Homeworld.

Atop the tower in the center of Little Homeworld, Peridot inspects the Injector with a pair of binoculars, while Steven and the others look on. Peridot asks Steven "She rode in on that?!" "Yeah. She said my "human half" wouldn't stand a chance against her Injector and she had a stone which apparently, is a Silver diamond spinel. Lapis then asks "What does that mean?" Peridot then says "Why don't we just ask her? And did you just say silver diamonds spinel?

Bismuth splits off from the group to think, accidentally overstepping her boundaries and coming a little too close to Sapphire; enough to trigger a growling Ruby. "Yeah, silver diamond, pearl said something about her being shattered and silver stone going crazy or something and about spinel....Well, here's the thing-" Spinel creeps up from behind Steven and pokes at his shoulders. "Hmm? What? Where'd she-"

Spinel pops up from behind Steven, startling him. "Aah!" "Surprise!" She then laughs at Steven "Here she is... My new best friend, Spinel...also, silver stone...or (y/n)" Spinel bows dramatically and (y/n) steps put from behind Steven. Spinel speaks in a faux-posh accent. "A pleasure to meet you all." And (y/n) jusr says "hi" "I thought you said she was justtrying to kill you." "Wow. Quick turnaround." "No kidding. It took me months to stop trying to kill Steven." "I say it took me a day- day and a half?" "I'm still on the fence." The three Gems all share a laugh. Peridot speaks up "Alright, let's see this thing she hit you with." "Uh, right." Steven pulls out the deactivated scythe and hands it to Peridot, who begins to examine it in the least safe way possible.

"Whoa. Was there, like, uh, a laser or-" Bismuth hurriedly snatches the weapon from Peridot's hands before she could activate it. "Be careful with that! It's a Rejuvenator. She reluctantly activates the weapon "Homeworld used to use these things on Gems that started steppin' out of line. One hit with this..." she deactivates the weapon "You're back to how they made you. Bismuth sadly looks at Ruby and Sapphire, as the former assumes a defensive stance to protect the latter. "What are you lookin' at?" Aksed Ruby. Peridot began freaking out "Oh my stars, I touched it! I could have lost all my character development! Wait, how did you survive being hit by that thing, Steven?" "I- I think I didn't. My human half kept me from poofing, but- but my Gem half, it took the hit! She sent me back; it's like I'm a kid again! I can barely control my powers! How do we reverse this? Oh no... Do I need to get the Diamonds" Bismuth hands the Rejuvenator back to Steven. Lapis then speaks "You're the one with healing powers. If anyone can fix this, it's you." (Y/n) had started acting strange since seeing the rejuvenator. When Bismith hands it back to Steven she backs away from him with a frightened expression on her face, she had just remembered a small piece of something that had happened before she came here.

"Come on Silver stone! You have to help me get my revenge!" The pink gem stands in front of the silver gem. "No spinel, i do my own thing, i conquer planets, i create my own armies, im not going to some stupid planet because your sad cause your so called best friend ditched you for better ones" the pink gem was visibly mad. "Fine, then jm taking your rejuvenator and doing it on my own!" The silver gem got off of the throne and walked to her "don't touch my things" the pink gem laughed "too late" she activated the rejuvenator and sliced through the silver gem causing her to poof. The two separate gems were picked up but as soon as they touched one another, stone started to form onto them until it was completely covered "well, thats new for a spinel" she said but put the stone in ber pocket and left the gemship on the warp pad

(Y/n) looked at spinel "you....you used my own weapon...on me?" She wasn't mad, she was just confused. Everyone looked at her and steven spoke "you remember? What do you remember?!" "Just, when she took the rejuvenator and used it against me, she wanted me to help distroy this planet and get revenge on someone here, i didnt want to and she poofed me...why was i on a gem ship? Why wasn't i with my diamond? Where is my diamond?" The other gems looked at the girl "she doesn't even remember her diamond being-" peridot was about to say 'shattered' but Bismith held her hand over peridots mouth.

Steven spoke "no, wait, tell her, maybe she remembers and knows how to stop that thing" Bismith contemplated tge decision but let peridot go "she was brutally shattered by white diamond for being disobedient. You were supposed to be shattered for being defective, but she didn't want that. The diamonds let silver keep you but you got into a lot ot trouble, you were the actual one being disobedient but she took the blame everytime, the diamonds knew it was you so they wanted to shatter you, she got in the way trying to protect you...so white accidentally shattered her...you...you went crazy...whats worse was that you weren't only defective, you are also really powerful, you've destroyed planets, shattered gems...you've-" "okay, thats enough peridot!" Steven yelled at her. Tears were running down your face "no...i...i would never...i..." you walked backwards, they thought you were going to fall off of the structure but a type of portal formed behind you and you walked through it.

They looked at the ground below and saw the portal form there and you ran out, going into a random direction. They wanted to go after you but steven stopped them "we need to get their memories back first. She can wait" it was a bit insensitive, but steven was frustrated and scared, he just wanted to save everyone and didn't know how.
