Lies

It's their engagement party. Madaming tao ang imbitado. Halos lahat doon ay hindi niya kilala. The only people she knows is Eros's family at ang mga kaibigan nito, Greed and Archibald. Bukod sa mga ito ay wala na.

Eros introduced her to each of every one in the party. She met Eros's relatives and other friends. And also his business partners. Madaming mga bigating tao ang dumalo. At nang saglit lang siyang iwan ni Eros dahil tinawag ito ng ama niya ay biglang sumulpot si Vien.

Daring ang suot nito na halos expose na ang lahat ng parte ng katawan. She's used to wear that kind of clothes before pero ngayon, wala sa sariling napatingin siya sa suot. She's wearing a long gown, ang tanging expose lang sakanya ngayon ay ang magkabilaang gilid niya. Eros told her she can wear whatever gown she want. And this is what she chose.

"Enjoy your party, huh?"ngumisi ito sakanya at inabutan siya ng wine. Tatanggihan na sana niya ang babae ng iabot ito sakanya pero kinuha lang nito ang kamay niya at ipinahawak ang wine."Drink that it'll surely help you later pagkatapos ng malalaman mo."

Parang bigla siyang nakaramdam ng kaba sa tono ng babae. As if it is something big...

Pagkatapos n'on ay hindi na niyang magawang ngumiti. She is too occupied from all those things she heard from the woman. Pilit siyang ngumiti ng batiin sila ng isang matandang lalaki. Hindi niya alam kung nahahalata ba ni Eros na biglang nag-iba ang mood niya o busy ang binata sa pagentertain ng mga bisita nila.

Nang matapos ang party ay walang imik silang sumakay lulan ng sasakyan ng binata. Si Eros ang nagdadrive.

"Vien talked to you."hindi nagtatanong ang tono nito. He's stated it.

Napalunok siya bago tumango bilang sagot.

"Don't listen to her. What she told you was just a lies."anito na walang karea-reaction ang mukha.

"Pero..."bumilis ang takbo ng sasakyan."Eros,"

"What? Gusto mong umatras sa kasal natin?"marahas at galit itong bumaling sa gawi niya.

"Eros, sa daan ka tumingin. You're driving!"takot niyang utos dito.

Bumuntong hininga ito bago tumingin sa harap at bumagal ang takbo ng sasakyan.

"I'm sorry, love. I guess I'm just tired. Don't listen to Vien. She don't know anything."iling nito sakanya."Don't think about cancelling our wedding. Hindi ko alam kung anong magagawa ko kay Vien pag nangyare 'yon."he gritted his teeth.

"I...wont. But is it really all lies?"she asked, bothered."Baka hindi mo talaga ako mahal? Siguro naguguluhan ka lang? Nagmahal ka na ba ng iba...bukod saakin? Why do you love me, Eros? You only knew me for a short period of time. Noong tumakas ako kay uncle Fred wala pang isang oras ay nahanap agad nila ako. Pagkatapos n'on hindi na tayo nagkita pa. I am completely different from Pysche Pedleton everyone knows."

Itinabi ni Eros ang sasakyan at itinigil. Pagkatapos humarap ito sakanya malalim itong napabuntong hininga na para bang nagpipigil.

"What are you trying to say?"tanong nito.

Napalunok siya."I'm just saying that maybe it wasn't really lies. And Vien was saying the truth. Baka hindi dapat tayo magmadali."

"You want to postpone our wedding or you want to cancel it?"

"I...I don't know, Eros."naiiling na sagot niya."I know you've done so much for me and I will be forever grateful for that. But...if you really don't l-love me and you're only marrying me because of the promise we've made that day. It's okay. Forget about it, Eros. You already save me and I think that's enough. You don't have to commit yourself to me for the rest of your life."

"How..."naging blanko ang mukha nito ngayon at napapayukong nagsalita."How can you say those words, love. Y-you're h-hurting me. I have never loved someone before. It's only you. But I know I love you. If you think I'm doing this just for a fucking promises? You're wrong, love. I'm doing this because I promised to that girl, I promised to her because I love her. "I'm sorry..."

Nag-angat ng tingin sakanya si Eros. Namumula ang mata nito at parang maiiyak na.

"Oh my god, Eros!"napasinghap siya."I'm sorry. I'm so---"

"Say it."parang batang utos ng binata sakanya.

"H-Huh?"

"Say it. Sabihin mong pakakasalan mo ko. You're not postponing nor cancelling our wedding, love."naiiling na sabi sakanya ni Eros.

"I won't."she answered."I'm sorry."

"I love you. Forget what Vien told you. It was all lies."
