Shana's POV

The chirping of the birds and the sun's rays woke me up. My body felt so energized. I saw flashes that my soulmate actually came to my house and actually hang out together. Was it real? It can't be, right? A strong nostalgic scent filed my nostrils and I could feel an arm around my waist holding me firmly.

No way! I turned around and saw him. Aiden, he was there and awake.

"Goodmorning, princess"

"Aiden? You're really here. I thought it was all a dream." I placed my hands on his cheeks to confirm what I'm seeing is true. He placed his on mine.

"Of course, I am. You thought it was all a dream?"

I nodded.

"It's because I tend to dream about you and when I wake up, I realize, you're not actually here. It saddens me every time I dreamt of you"

He gave my hand a little squeeze. Just then, I remembered. I'm supposed to do the opening shift today. I am so dead. He caught onto it as he saw my eyes widened.

 "What's wrong?"

"I'm supposed to work today!"

I scrambled up and got my things ready.

"Shana"

I place my keys in my bag then went to the wardrobe to find a semi- formal outfit.

"Shana"  I found it. White collared top and a pink knee-length skirt.

"Shana"

Aiden placed his hands on my shoulders and shook me.

"You're not going to work"

"Why not?" "I opened up a bank account for you when I was 13. You worked a lot and I didn't want you to work anymore. There's a lot money in that account. You can splurge all you want. Besides,

you're a princess. You shouldn't be working especially minimum wage jobs. "

"But it's your money."

"It's yours. You're going to be the queen. The money is passed down to all soulmates of the royalty bloodline. It's rightfully yours"

"But they have helped me a lot by giving me the opportunity to work there. If it's not because of them, I would not have money to survive "

"Don't worry sweetie. I will follow you to work and talk to the manager for you."

"Okay" I reluctantly answered.  Both of us got ready then walked to McDonald's.

"Shana, there you are! You're late." said my colleagues. I smiled guiltily. Then, I spot the head manager.

 "He's there" I pointed.

"Hello good morning, are you the manager? " Aiden asked in a professional tone.  "Yes, how can I help you?"

"I just want to thank you for helping my girlfriend out by giving her a place to work here. I would like to apologize on her behalf as she was unable to make it for her opening shift today. Shana can no longer work here due to some personal reasons."

My manager looked a little confused at first and then said,

"I understand. Shana, could you please come to my office so that we can settle some documents before you leave?"
