Chapter 17

Shana's POV 

 Canada is such a beautiful place. It kind of reminds me of my hometown which helps me not to get homesick.

It was 3.50pm where Aiden is driving me around to observe some of the beautiful parts of Canada in his Ferrari. Dazzling waterfalls, scenic mountainous terrains, beautiful pine trees and 

lakes. He also told me some jokes and riddles which made me laugh so hard.

Why does an elephant have a trunk? 

 A: Because it doesn't have any pockets.

How do you make a milkshake?

 A: Put a cow on a rollercoaster.

Why did the bubble gum cross the road? 

 A: Because it was stuck to the chicken's foot.

What did the porcupine say to the cactus? 

 A: "Are you my mother?"

 I couldn't guess any of it right caused I have always been bad at riddles. 

"Aiden, are we going back to the palace?"

 "Nope."  

"Where are we going, then?" 

 "You'll see" he said with a cheeky smile. 

 I'm really curious to where we're going. I'm just enjoying the incredible scenery and soon we pulled up to a nearby beach. The sky is getting dark and I could see some decorations there with some lighted wooden torch. 

  The shoreline was decorated by some flowers. And beside it was a glamp facing the blue ocean, also decorated with fairy lights and candle lit lamp. On the left, I could see a mandap with white curtains decorated with more flowers and fairy lights. There were small lighted tea candles organized in a way I could read them. It looked like it was representing some words. I walked closer and read it. 

 It says, "Will you marry me?"

 Aww that's so sweet. The girl must be really lucky to have such a sweet guy. I turned around to look for Aiden but he's not there. There were three guys in white suit and a white hat a few meters away from me with their instrument. A violin, a harp and a flute.

Then, I heard a guitar strumming from behind. I turned and saw Aiden with a black acoustic guitar and started to sing. His sweet angelic voice filled the air that made my knees go weak. His voice and lyrics were filled with lots of love. I remembered the quote 'Music is a universal language of love' and it sure is as he's stealing my heart. Did he write the song himself? Once he finished, he hung his guitar to his back and knelt down.

"Shana, I waited so long for you even though I didn't know if you were still alive. I was a wreck for years not knowing how you were doing. I always had a glimpse of hope that you will eventually be by my side. I never want you to go away from me again, I'm weak without you. Now I'm seizing this opportunity. Shana my beautiful princess, will you marry me?" Aiden said filled with emotions as he took out a small box which revealed to a beautiful diamond silver ring.  

His face showed how vulnerable he was but also hopeful for me to say yes. I was so touched by this action and started to cry. So that candle-lit light was for me? I'm that lucky girl. how ignorant was I?

 "Yes!" 

I managed to word out through my cries. He stood up excitedly, hugged and spun me around.  

"Thank you, my love. You will not regret it. I will treat you like the princess you are. " 

He heaved a sigh of relief and cupped my face. The rays from the sunset shone to his face which made his hair gold and I could see his beautiful blue golden eyes. He's so handsome and the fact that he's so close to me and he's my mate made me feel so blessed. I am not dreaming, am I? 

Because I have been dreaming about sweet and dreamy proposal and this is just like it but better. He leaned closer to my face and the next thing I knew was an explosion pleasurable sensation dancing on my lips. It is as if everything stops just like the book, I read 5 years ago.

 His arms around my waist and the other behind my neck, kissing me, holding me possessively not giving me room for a potential chance of escape. Not that I want to but I might if I get too shy. But good thing held me firmly as I almost fell backwards. Aiden dominated the kiss before he parted our lips and rested his forehead on mine as we caught our breath.  

"That was an absolutely breathtaking kiss." He said under his breath. I blushed and looked away as I restored my breathing to a more normal pace. 

 "Come let's have some dinner" he led me to the pre-wedding mandap where it has a nicely decorated tabletop and plates and cutleries. 

Two chefs in their uniform carried plates of seafood platter and a dessert of Crème Brule. For drinks, I had Ribena as I am addicted to blackcurrant drinks. The first time I had Ribena was when Sally offered me to drink some of it and I immediately fell in love with it. It may be a drink to many but to me, it makes me feel like a kid again. 

The food was scrumptious and it was a real magical experience having a romantic dinner with the man of my dreams. The three-man played music during dinner and also played a very romantic song for our slow dance. It was night and the lit torch and candles and fairy lights makes the beach extra magical.

I shifted to my Lycan form as she wants to run by the coastal line. Aiden did the same. Woah, he's bigger than me and it's Midnight black.  

"Nice fur coat. It reminds me of the moon" Aiden said. 

 I ran as it feels liberating and Aiden joined. I pushed him into the water and run away. He chased after me and laughed. Then, I stared out into the open sea and listening to the calming waves crashing into the beach. There were some neon blue lights glowing on the beach. I walked closely to inspect it. 

"This is Noctiluca scintillans" Aiden mentioned. 

I tilted my face looking confused.

 "They're also known as sea sparkle which is a free-living, marine-dwelling species of dinoflagellate that exhibits bioluminescence when disturbed "he educated me as if reading it straight from a textbook. 

 "I see. They're so beautiful." 

"They sure are indeed but not as beautiful as you" he winked. 

 "Thanks" I blushed.  

He stood and pulled me up from the squat position I was in and we walked towards the glamp. The glamp was so beautiful. It even has lights on the inside. There were some pillows neatly placed on the soft mattress and a nice soft comforter blanket folded on the side. I took off my converse and hopped in.

Ahh I could lay down at last. It's so soft! Aiden did the same except that he started to tickle me when I stretched in bed. I guess he's excited that we'll soon be husband and wife which made him in a good mood. I can't help but scream and laugh at the same time. I'm really ticklish and he seems to take advantage of it. That meanie. 

He soon stopped and went over me I thought he was about to kiss me but nope. He teased me with the anticipation and cuddled me while laughing instead. That sneaky boy. He had a good grip around me and I can't seem to get away. Tickling him won't work either cause he's not really ticklish. I eventually gave in and cuddled him too.

"Sleeping by the beach is great." I said softly.  

"Sleeping by the beach is greater with you." he replied.
