My Soulmate is a Prince

Chapter 19

Aiden's POV 

 "She's going through the heat, prince Aiden." 

Heat? I have studied about it before but I didn't expect it to be this quick. 

"Ever since you met your soulmate, her body starts to crave for the mating process. I believe it has been a week and her body are deprived of what it needs. Truthfully speaking, it has to be done on the night of you meeting her. It's already 6 days late. It's putting a strain on her frail body." 

I have wanted to do it since I met her but I did not want to scare her.  

"Prince Aiden, I'm sorry to tell you this but if you don't do it as fast as possible, it will endanger her life. I used to have a patient's soulmate died due to the delay of the mating process." 

The sound of getting my mate endangered made my heart drop and made me feel sick to my stomach. I can't. I will go crazy if she dies.  I dismissed the doctor and immediately approach my fragile mate. I hate to do this without her consent but I have to. 

When I opened the door, my heart dropped. She wasn't on the bed. The window was open. I could smell a rogue's disgusting scent in my bedroom. My blood started to boil knowing he took my mate.

 "Guards! There's a break in my bedroom and the princess is abducted. Tighten the security borders and find out who's the abductor!" I yelled. 

I mind linked to Jackson, 'Jackson, Shana is kidnapped'  

'What?? On your wedding day? Alright I'll come by soon!'

Just then, I just remembered. The necklace! It has a built-in tracker device for emergencies like this. I pulled out my phone and entered the company's app to search for her location. Found it! I jumped out from the window and shifted into my Lycan form and sprinted to her location.

'Aiden! We're all tailing you by your scent. By the way, the guards told us that the rogue is actually an Alpha. It's one of the problems that some packs brought up to the king. I'm pretty sure you're aware of that. He used to be called Alpha Samuel'

'Is it the Alpha that was kicked out from his own pack?' 

'Yes, Aid! He's looking for ways to change the Lycan rule'

'For that he needs to find a way to defeat me. And to do that he has to find ways to weaken me. And my mate is my weakness.'

'Correct. he's quite twisted and he has a few of his men working with him. He's been found lurking around the woods near our palace'

This is exactly why I kept my soulmate a secret for so long. I no longer need to rely on my phone as Shana's scent is getting stronger. Boy when I get my hands on him, he's going to regret it. 

Soon I came into a hut and he could tell that I'm approaching. He has planned this all along. I could see his booby traps he set up. Many are filled with high doses of lethal poisons.  

"Don't touch me, it hurts!" I could hear my mate screaming in pain. 

 "You fucker! Get the fuck out of there!" He left the hut with a scornful smile. All the other few are hiding in the bushes like fucking pussies waiting to pounce on me. 

"Well, well, well. Your highness. You sure have a beautiful soulmate. She sure smells irresistible."

I let out a warning growl. My Lycan is fighting to take over my conscious but I resisted. When my Lycan gets angry, he's dumb and won't be able to think of anything.
