My Soulmate is a Prince

Chapter 14

Shana's POV

 I was enjoying my time with my parents where my dad was swinging me on the tree swing. The sun was shining and it was the perfect time to play. Every morning we go for a morning hike in the beautiful mountains, admiring the beauty.

 "Mummy and daddy. I love you" I hugged my dad's leg.  

"We love you too, dear" they responded. 

They stood up and walked away. I thought they were getting something but I was wrong. They continued and they're getting further and further away. The surroundings changed and it turned black. I tried to chase them but I was tied down unable to move. I cried but no tears fell. I tried to scream but no sound formed.

"Wake up my princess. Sweetie, open your beautiful eyes." I could hear a masculine voice filled with worry. 

Wake up? Was this all a dream? But it was all too vivid. We were just hiking and playing at the playground. Did they leave me? I shed a tear as I opened my eyes. My teary eyes were still adjusting to the brightness of the morning sun. I felt someone holding me.

"Who could it be?" I wondered.

I blinked a little and I saw the most stunning guy I have ever seen. Slightly tanned with dirty-blonde hair. His face was so close to mine with a face filled with concern. I could see that he's about to cry too but he held it back. It looked as if he had been crying for days. 

He looked tired and there were eyebags under his eyes due to, presumably, the lack of sleep.

As I stared into his mesmerizing blue eyes, I could see his tired, sad and lonely soul. It also showed vulnerability which make me want to hug him.  

"Don't worry, my princess. It was only a nightmare." I smelled this wonderful yet nostalgic scent. But it's even stronger. 

'Soulmate.'

My Lycan told me. Wait! Is this Aiden?? Then, I remembered sending him my address at exactly 12 am on my birthday. I also, remembered seeing his response

"I'm on my way" but I thought it was just a dream. Omg, he's here, he's finally here. My eyes began to swell up with tears and my emotions got so strong that broke down while hugging him. He wrapped his arms around me; gently yet firmly. 

"It's okay baby girl. Everything is okay. Please don't cry. I'm here." 

I continued crying my sadness off. The gentleness in his voice and his scent calmed me down eventually. I am extremely grateful for him as he softly affirmed me that he is here and that I will be safe in his arms. 

I noticed that he held quite an immense power even for a Lycan. It's the power that he radiates. But I could tell that he toned it down so that he would not scare me off which I'm thankful for. Eventually, I stopped crying.

 'Baby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms, Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favourite song,When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath, But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight'

Aiden stole my heart when he began to sing while gently rubbing my back to make me feel better. I feel as if I'm melted in his arms. I missed him so much. I gave him a little squeeze before look at him. With my sad crying face, I gave him a pout which made him give me a small kiss 

that made the butterflies in my stomach go crazy.

 "Hello, Shana. It's me, Aiden"  
His smile makes me go crazy, too. AHH! I'm so shy. I brought up enough courage to answer.  

"Hello" 

 His face was so close to mine. I flushed and looked down. Then, I felt a hand on my cheeks. I could feel him rubbing my cheeks with his thumb gently as a sign of affection. There's an explosion of sparks as he touched my skin and I could tell that he felt it too.

 Slowly, he leaned closer and eventually his lips met mine. He pulled me closer to him. I could feel my Lycan in me purring at his soft kiss. I didn't know what to do. I read romantic novels but experiencing romance myself, I really don't know what to do. I'm too shy to do anything. My Lycan is the opposite, though. She wants to jump on him. 

 "Happy birthday princess." 

Right. I forgot. I got lost in his sweet kiss. A second later he was at my desk. And the next he was back on the bed. That was so fast!

 "This is for you"  He handed me a beautiful white heart shaped box. I opened it to reveal full of red roses. My soulmate is so sweet. I feel like tearing up. I love the scent of roses. I can't have enough of it. I couldn't resist myself from smelling them. I sniffed them, got a little pollen in my nostrils and started to sneeze.

 ACHU!

 "Bless you" 

I rubbed my nose and smiled. He got me another present and it was a beautiful silver necklace with a shiny heart-shaped diamond. I was so touched my eyes got watery. Aiden took the necklace and put it on me. I saw my reflection on my mirror and it look so beautiful. It looked so expensive too.

 "Thank you. Omg I don't deserve this." 

 "You do, my princess. You deserve a lot more than that." 

"But I'm not used to getting something without working for it." 

I mean except the condiments I constantly take from McDonald's but you get what I mean. I tried to find ways to pay him back but every time when I attempt to complete my sentence, he kissed me. It's like his way of rejection.

Eventually, I stopped speaking because the butterflies in my tummy is going crazy and if he kissed me once more, I'd probably faint from being too embarrassed.
