Chapter 5 - God Gave Us An Apple and He Said Don’t Touch it
Maybe I wasn’t entirely right, love is still stupid but liking a person isn’t. Liking a person could be fun, you could learn so much by liking a person. Where there from, age, family, likes or dislikes, you could find out if you even like them enough to screw that person. Loving a person fully isn’t just about the feelings its about the sex and how good two people are it.
Marriage is the same, its thirty percent about the love but seventy percent about the sex life. Bad sex means bad marriage or at least an unhappy, unsatisfied one.
The bar was starting to close, Carver and I have been talking for probably two hours. We have a lot in common, we both want to be doctors, we’re the same age, and are both only Childs.
“What part of Ireland are you from?” I asked. Still laughing a little at a joke he just told me about potatoes and penises.
“Northern, a small village with probably four hundred people living there.” he said smiling wildly at me. He’s definitely hot and that smile of his was definitely something else and completely cute.
“That’s cool, I’m from Seabrook, New Hampshire with about four thousand people live there.” I said outnumbering him by three thousand and six hundred people.
“The bar’s about to close/” he said out loud so everyone could hear him. I nodded my head standing, grabbing my purse. I put a fifty dollar bill on the counter to cover my bill. I drank like six eight dollar shots of Vodka.
“I guess I better go then. But maybe sometime we can hangout at Dartmouth.” I said. When talked we discovered that we’re both going to Dartmouth next fall.
“Wait!” he said catching up to me as I was about to head over to Luca and Reed’s table. “Do you want to come over to my place and continue talking. I like talking to you!” he said a little awkwardly. I looked over to Luca for second as she watched me carefully.
“Yeah let me just tell my friend.” I said quickly holding up my pointer finger showing him I just needed a minute to talk to Luca. “Hey I’m gonna go over to Carver’s place and hangout.” I said she nodded her nodded her head laughing at me.
“Have fun and stay out of trouble.” she said smiling at me probably because I looked like a little high school girl cooing over some boy that I liked.
“I’ll try to but no promises to you or your mother!” I said over my shoulder heading back to the cute guy that stood by the counter awkwardly waiting for me. I now just realized that’s just over six feet tall. That’s a good height for a man.
“Get some!” Reed shouted at me laughing as I pulled Carver out the door by his hand. I couldn’t help but laugh at him, he’s a great guy, the perfect guy for my best friend Luca Masterson, who deserves the world on a silver platter. And I know that Reed can give her that plus more.
“Do you wanna get a cab or walk?” I asked shivering because I was a little cold. Okay that’s a lie, I’m very cold.
“Lets walk its not to far from here.” he said unbuttoning his flannel shirt and draping it over my shoulders. Carver gently grabbed my hand and started walking with me following in sync.
We talked for a few moments until we reached the back of the build the bar was in. There was a door there, it had a peep hole and a little tiny mail slot. “My place is above the bar.” he said digging for his keys. It was a little dark to see the keyhole so I pulled my phone out shining the screen light over the door. We quickly walked inside the door, I waited a second for him to dead bolt both locks on the door, and chain lock it too.
