"How many fingers am I holding up?" Jungkook asked.

"Umm, two?" Yoongi guessed.

"You are peaking!" He accused.

"Jungkook I'm not. I was just guessing." He replied with a sigh.

"Okay, okay, come here." He squealed holding his hand and leading him towards their house entrance.

Yoongi knew what was happening. It was always different every year, but it consisted of the same thing.

A surprise birthday party.

Jungkook took off the blind fold and he opened up his eyes to see starts from how tight it had been around his face.

The room was dark and suddenly a light and a smoke machine went off revealing a large amount of people screaming "happy birthday".

Yoongi awkwardly smiled at the phone cameras recording because of course if you went to a huge party you had to post it on Instagram or snapchat.

The music started playing loudly and confetti was being thrown at him. He accidentally swallowed some and had to spit it out.

"Wow, thanks." He told as he wiped his mouth.

"Happy birthday!" Jungkook beamed giving him a tight hug.

"You shouldn't have." Yoongi said. You really shouldn't. He thought. He wasn't the party type and he hated being the center of attention. When it came to this stuff anyways.

"You don't turn twenty-four every year."

"You say that about all my birthdays." He smiled.

"I know. I just want to celebrate the day you were born." He grinned.

"Thank you. I mean it." He said.

"I know. Look the cake is over there. Don't worry I have one of our body guards to take care of it so no one runs into it like last year. I've also collected your presents and put them upstairs in a room."

Before Yoongi could thank his brother one more time, Kai approached them with a cup at hand.

"Yoongi! Happy birthday!" He said giving him a hug.

"Thank you." He smiled nervously.

"I'm going to get a drink. Want one?" Jungkook offered. Yoongi simply nodded as he walked away.

He wished Jungkook hadn't walked away because it felt weird trying to talk to Kai after a long time.

"How you been?" Kai asked.

"I've been good. How about you?" Yoongi said leaning closer to hear him better.

"I've been good too. We haven't hanged out in so long." He responded.

"I know we totally should."

But they never did.

And at that moment Yoongi's heart was beating fast against his chest. Why was he so awkward? Why couldn't he talk to his friend without being so weird?
