Cat showed me to the building that I had my morning class in. I had a two hour lecture with my English professor. The class was big, about hundred students, which shocked me a little. My last English classes were less than half the students. But the professor was good, I liked him. So that felt like a great start.

As the class ended I put down my notepad in my bag. I'm old-school, I like writing by hand. Most of the student use their computers, but I like the feeling of writing, beside I can add sidetones and stuff really easy. Just scribble all over the page.

"God that was a long lecture, I almost fell asleep." The girl sitting next to me says. I look over at her with my eyebrows raised. Her light brown hair is pulled up into a messy ponytail.

"Yeah, English can do that to you." I close my bag and stand up.

"I don't know how I'm gonna make it this semester." she complains which irritates me.

"Then don't." I reply and start to walk out of the lecture hall. She sits there stunned. People don't understand the privilege they have to be able to go to school and get a degree. Besides English is fun, at least I think so.

Outside I see Cat waiting.

"Well hello there shortie." I say as I get close to her.

"Hey tall stuff." She smirks. "Thought you might wanna get lunch?"

"Yeah, sounds perfect. I'm starving. You have a place in mind?" I ask as we walk to exit the building. It's hot out today, I regret choosing jeans to wear. It feels better as we get outside and the wind can cool me down a little.

"There's this great sandwich place?" She wonders.

"Sounds like a plan." I reply.

We walk through the courtyard when we hear someone shouting at us. Both of us turn toward the voice to see Shawn and some of the others sitting at a couple of benches in shadow of the yard. We walk over to see what's going in.

"Hey, you want pizza? I ordered a couple for us." Shawn says as we come to the table. There it lay tre family size pizzas. Cat looks over at me and I shrug, who says no to pizza?

"Sure, that'd be great." She says, taking a seat at one of the benches and I sit down next to her. I take a slice of the mushroom pizza.

"How was everyones morning?" Cat ask looking around at the people we sit with. I recognize most of them from the dinner last night. On the other side of the table sits a girl named Gracie. She's a curvy girl with straight long blond hair. My impression of her isn't much yet, but she seems nice.

"It was good. I like my professor," she smile. "he's so yummy." She add with a glint in her eyes. Cat snicker at her.

"You think all your professors are yummy." Shawn tell her not shocked by her admission.

"Well, they are. I can't help it." She shrugs.

"Older men, huh.." I say and raise an eyebrow at her.

"They're the best." She licks her lips.

"Sure. Wrinkles, arthritis, hair loss, limp dick... all very attractive qualities." I smirk at her. I hear the others laugh and Gracie smile at me.

"I've never met a man that can't get it hard with me." She replies and narrow her eyes at me, a smirk plying on her lips.

"It's called viagra." I wink at her. That makes her laugh and shake her head.

"Yeah, you should really stick to guys like us." Shawn say and hold his hands to his chest where he's sitting on the table beside us. I look over at him, raise an eyebrow and then back to Gracie. If the option is Shawn or an old man, I do see where she's coming from.

"hm...I think you're on to something." I add to Gracie, making Cat double over in laugher.

Right then a couple of people walk by on the path beside the table.

"Ugh, walk somewhere else moron." I hear Shawn snarl at one of them.

"You need to buy your girls now?" The tall guy reply, looking at the pizza on the table. His hair is dark brown, a little too long on the sides and some of it is falling down his forehead. He's in black jeans and a dark grey t-shirt. Broad shoulders and big arms.

"Oh fuck off." Shawn say at the guy and his friends chuckle. I raise my eyebrows at their conversation. Who is this guy that Shawn seem to dislike so much?

"Ooh, good comeback. Work on that instead of trying to buy girls." The guy say and his green eyes land on me for a second before looking forward and walking away with his friends in tow. They seem to be laughing at the exchange, but he looked kind of sad. There was something about his eyes, some sadness shining through.

"Get away freak!" Shawn flip him off before turning to his friends beside him, mumbling something.

I raise an eyebrow to Cat. That was just strange, I've must have missed something that happened last year. Who is the guy and what's the deal between them?

"That's Shawns brother." She whisper to me. Brother? They look nothing alike. "Well, step brother." She adds as she sees my confusion. "They don't really get along." she explain.

No shit Sherlock.

"Yeah, I got that part." I whisper back.

"Their parents got married six years ago. They totally hate it." She takes a bite of her pizza.

Wow, I can't imagine their holidays. I wonder if they actually spend it together or if they refuse to be in the same room. I'm betting on the later from the reaction of Shawn. He seems a little flustered.

"He's so yummy." Gracie moan as she's looking after the group. I look over at her.

"Oh, so he's old enough?" I ask, earning a smile.

"He's the exception." She leans her head in her hand. "He is one of the sexiest man I've ever seen. Like an underwear model. Lucky girl who get's to see him in his underwear." She almost drool. Cat snicker beside me.

"So why haven't you tried to?" I ask, seeing her eyes almost bulge out of her head.

"Are you crazy. That's Caden Walker. I would pee my pants if I tried to talk to him." She confess.

"Well, if you do that he definitely wouldn't want to see you in yours." I tell her with a smirk.

"Yeah, well... he doesn't seem to date. I've heard a lot of girls getting shut down." She tell me with a disappointed expression. I almost want to laugh at her, but hold it.

I finish my slice and grab a water that stands on the table. I hear the guys talk about the party happening Friday, discussing how much alcohol to get. It seems to be the most important decision.

"Hey, how about a beach day tomorrow after classes?" Cat ask us. I instantly want to go, but that's probably because the sweat in dripping down my back as we speak. I really need to get some lighter clothes.

"Yes! That sounds perfect! It's gonna be even warmer tomorrow." The girl next to Gracie says, I think her name is Nora.

"I'm in. I'm sweating like a pig over here." I state.

"Sexy!" I hear Shawn respond.

"Of course you think so, you obviously desires pigs." I reply, taking a sip of my water. Everyone including Shawns guys laugh.
