CHAPTER NINE trigger
"Where's Jay?" Wyatt asks, sitting at the island, where Sam had just sat down a plate of waffles for him. Sam licks off the syrup that just got onto her finger and says, "He's on a stack out with Hailey"
"Cool"
Denise walks into the kitchen to grab a water when Sam says, "Morning, Dee. You want breakfast?"
Denise ignores her adoptive mother and walks out of the kitchen, when Wyatt looks at his mom and says, "So, someone's still mad. Hey, uh, mom"
"What's up?" Sam asks, going over to Gracie to get her out of her high chair. Wyatt takes a bite of his waffles and says, "So, after the game tonight. The team is doing a get together at Jeno's house. Can I go?"
"I don't know. Is it a real get together or get together as in code for party?"
"Umm..the first one?"
"You don't know do you?" Sam asks her son, while her daughter lays her head on her shoulder while rubbing her cheek. Wyatt shakes his head and says, "No"
"Alright, you can go" Sam says, as Wyatt perks up, "But. You text me when you get to Jeno's house and when you leave so I know you're alright"
"Sweet" Wyatt smiles, getting up from his seat, "Bye mom, love you"
"Love you too, sweetheart" Sam says, as Lucy walks into the room and grabs Gracie from her.
"You okay?" Lucy asks.
"Huh, yeah. Criminals shooting at me, I can deal with. But my 16 year old wanting to go to his first party" Sam sighs, "That's a whole other thing"

"You good?" Sam asks, as Kevin gets out of his vehicle to meet up with her, Jay, Hank and Hailey after doing an undercover sting inside a mosque. Kevin nods his head and says, "Yeah, I'm good." then fists bumps the brunette, "I tried to get Akeem to talk about the bombing. He shut me down"
"Are you sure his security guard didn't make you?" Hailey asks.
"Jamel just hates Americans on principle. My covers still good, though"
"Alright, so stay under. Keep pushing" Hank says.
"I don't know what we're waiting for. These guys already detonated one bomb. Let's bring Akeem in" Jay states.
