Calum had his mom come and pick us up. She was a nice blonde lady named Liz.

Ashton and I didn't talk much during the car ride. You would've thought Ashton would of talk more but he's socially awkward just like me. He's only confident when I need him to be, for example when I need to ask for something but I'm to scared to ask for it myself. It makes everything easier when you have someone to look out for you and not someone who would usually tell you to get over it. That's like telling someone with depression to be happy, it useless.

I felt Ashton grab my knee and shook it a little bit. I snapped right our my daydream and got out of the silver car. I was nervous and really had no reason to be, maybe it was the fact I was meeting Luke. Who even was Luke? I dont even know him and I was already scared.

I gripped the back of Calums sweater and trailed quickly behind him. Him, Ashton and I were like a train of teenage boys, one behind the next. Calums mother unlocked the door and told us to make ourselves at home.

"Luke?" Calum called out. "Where are you?"

Ashton and I glanced at each other and took off our shoes. "Oh yeah you can bring your bags up to my room" Calum informed us. We followed him to a messy room with clothes all over the floor, it really looked no different from my room though. There were two beds in the room, A television, and posters plastered all over the walls. He must share a room with Luke considering the two beds one either side of the room.

Ashton and Calum quickly got a conversation going. I can't believe I didn't see how a-like they were. They talked while I played video games. Claum said Luke had went out for a little bit but would be back later.

"Hey, Calum what does Luke look like?" I said, I was wondering that all evening. I didn't mean to sound creepy but I was just so curious. I paused my game and turned to face Calum, standing in the door way was a tall boy with brunette hair and piercing blue eyes. He was so- so pretty? His little nose and the way he stood there made me very nervous. I dropped the controller and just stared at Luke. "Why don't you look at him yourself" Calum laughed along with Ashton. Luke walked toward me and I swear I my heart jumped into my throat. I could feel my face growing blush on it.

"Hi, I'm Luke and you're Michael- No! I mean I'm Michael" I covered my face with my hands and turned around. Who forgets their own name?
"What are you playing?" Luke asked sitting down right in front of me, ignoring the last thing I just said. He even smelled good.

My hands still covered my reddened face, Luke reached up and pried them off. "You look better when you hands aren't over your face" He said still holding my hands in his lap. "But the sweater paws are massively adorable" This boy was so smooth it hurt my soul.

Ashton and Calum ended up going out to get pizza while Luke and I awkwardly interacted. He's really nice to me.
"Michael! Stop wining!" He whined after I beat him in halo for the 5th time. I couldn't help my great skills, but he did kinda suck ass at times.

I learned a little about him but not much. I don't think he's really into opening himself up for people.

One thing that could possibly make the first day a little ok is knowing its on a Friday and you have the whole weekend to recover from all the first day madness. Well its not madness for me, its just aggravating and annoying. People arent nice and neither am I thats just how it works. I don't really care for petty high school kids. We're all going to move on with life in the next couple years anyway. High school popularity won't get you though the hard times.

"Aye, what time is it?" I asked.

"One second let me check" Luke said grabbing his phone from the dresser "its 11:36 (pm)"

I scrambled up and searched for my phone. I found it and the screen was covered with missed calls and un-read texts from my mom and Ashton. I'm gonna get in so much trouble. I dialed my moms number and hesitantly pressed call.

"Michael Gordon Clifford!" She screeched into the phone. I scrunched my face up and cringed.

"Hi"

"I'm mad but I heard you made a friend today so at the same time im happy"

"Yes I did. Actually I think I might've made two" I said glancing at Luke who was already staring at me.

"Michael, where are you right now?"

"At my friend Calums, him and Ashton went out to get pizza but that 2 hours ago so I've been haning out with Calums brother Luke, he's one year younger." I explained to her.

"Ok well when i called Ashton he said his mom said he could sleepover"

"One sec" Luke was waving his hands in my direction and whispering my name. I put my mom on hold and just looked at Luke. "Yes Luke what would you like?"

"Would you uh like to maybe sleepover too?" He stuttered. He always seemed to confident why is he failing at that now? "Yeah I would like that"

I got back on the phone with my mom and asked her If I could stay over, she squealed an said I could. I already knew she would say yes. Shes been wanting me to make friends since forever.

"So what do you wanna do now?" I just shrugged.

-----------------------------------------------

"Are you tired?" Luke membled after 2 more hours of video games and random conversations. "Not nessiarily" I said with a shrug. "Maybe we should like go for a walk?"
Walk were always nice. They blew off steam and just got me to calm down. Maybe a walk with Luke would be even better then the normal ones. I nodded and we went to the front door.
"Michael are you sure you're gonna be warm enough?" I had a thin black sweater on, I pulled the sleeves over my hands and shrugged once again.
And before I knew it we were out the door exploring vacant parks, ally's, and streets.
