There were two kinds of people in the world, Lisa believed in that. The ones that tolerated her hyperactive lifestyle, that gradually consisted of working and studying, and the ones that criticized it – even tried to change it.
Jennie was always so eager to make drastic changes in Lisa's life, because she thought changes would only do her daily routine the best. She went from fashion to hobbies, Jennie wanted to make Lisa face a nearly complete makeover and while many would take that as an insult, Lisa appreciated her friend's effort. Lisa knew Jennie did not want to change her persona or whole being on purpose, everything she suggested was an offer to be someone else temporary. Jennie herself enjoyed playing different kind of roles on any possible occasion. There was nothing wrong with changes as some of them were truly benefitting.
But on the contrary, Lisa felt like her friend did not quite understand, why she refused to change something about her lifestyle.
While almost everything in one's life was set to change from time to time, it was a bliss to have control over something.
"You sure love to break every rule of healthy nutrition, fella", Jennie nagged her and crossed her arms in front of her chest, looking down at Lisa, who sat down on one of the school garden's benches to drink her iced americano.
Lisa rolled her eyes at the sudden elder figure Jennie became in front of her eyes, but then again – it was understandable. Jennie began modeling ever since she got rid off diapers and the general public absolutely adored her, to the point where she was considered one of south korea's most influential IT girls. The downgrade of that was obviously having to face the worst of criticism at any time, which was why she started taking care of her health and body way more during puberty up to now. Her parents were supportive of that and even hired a nutritionist to help Jennie make the right choices in terms of food.
"What's the point in living, if you can't enjoy the things you want to enjoy", Lisa defended herself and slurped her coffee peacefully, trying to avoid Jennie's few minutes of being the upholder of moral standards.
Although she admired her friend for taking care of herself, there was no need to encourage Lisa to do so as well. She was taking care of herself, just not the way Jennie preferred to.
"I'm just saying, that iced americano could have been a delicious, refreshing bottle of water to keep you hydrated", Jennie argued, raising both her arms and eyebrows. She was practically screaming 'I'm right and you're not' into Lisa's face.
"Well we live in a world, where could haves and should haves are irrelevant", Lisa imitated her friend's gesture, because she genuinely loved getting on Jennie's nerves, her reactions were always worth it.
"Yah Lalisa, I'm trying to be a good friend and this is all you can do in return? I must have been out of my mind to befriend someone this stubborn and ignorant, I guess this is what I get for online shopping during philosophy classes", Jennie fought and made Lisa almost lose it, trying to hold her laughter. "Besides, your skin looks terribly dry, why aren't you using the skin care products I give you while you refuse to drink enough water on a daily base!"
