Since they met at Saddle Ranch and in the phase of talking 😌, Lauren can't stop thinking about it. She smiled, looking at the ceiling.
"I know you're thinking about him." Christina said, laying next to Lauren.
"He's cute I guess." Lauren glanced at Tina.
Christina light-laughing. "You guess?"
"Yeah, I guess."
"You guess?" Christina emphasized 'guess'
"Hmm."
"Really?"
Lauren grabbed a pillow and threw it to Christina. "Stop. You're annoying."
"Stop. You're annoying." Christina mocked. "Do you have a feeling of meeting him again?"
"Yeah. I- I mean no." Lauren adjusting herself to sit up. "I barely know him"
"Stop lying to yourself, Henderson. I know. Good night, I want to sleep." Christina said, placing one of her arms on her eyes as she drifted off to sleep.
Lauren laid on the bed, tucking herself under the covers. She can't sleep. All she did was think about Daniel. "What am I doing? He probably doesn't think about me." Lauren slapped her cheek.
little did she know Daniel thought about her through the whole night.

The next morning, Lauren woke up earlier than usual. Christina still sleeping beside her, snoring softly.
She did not know what to do except for a ride. She got ready, putting on a comfy outfit, glide on her vanilla chapstick and spraying vanilla perfume, her signature scent.
She grabbed her car key from her sling bag. She got in her lovely matte black car and yeeted out of the apartment parking lot.
Almost an hour of the ride, she started to feel hungry. So she decided to get a breakfast at her favorite cafe.
After she parked her car, she get in and went straight to order a sandwich and berry smoothie. She sit at a spot in the cafe then eat her breakfast.
Then, someone tapped her shoulder. She tilted her head to the tall figure behind her. She chocked on her croissant, drinking her smoothie to let it down.
"Oh my god. Are you okay?" Said the guy who is rubbing her back and pat it softly.
"I'm okay. Don't worry."
He sat in front of her, revealing the smile she loved to see. "Hi. Nice to see you again."
Lauren didn't say a word. Just smiling.
why is he here?
"Um. Have you eaten yet?" Lauren asked.
"Yep. Already have" This time, he smiled with his tooth gap showing. Cute. Lauren's heart melted.
"Then why are you here?"
"Oh, I saw you so I came in to say hi." He smiled again, scratching the back of his neck. "I think we should hang out sometimes."
"Sure."
"Cool."
"You came here with what?" Lauren asked, looking up at Daniel. Her arm supported her chin. That's when she stared right into his eyes, not blinking once.
"Lauren?"
"What? I'm sorry?" Lauren blinked her eyes repeatedly.
Daniel grinned. "I said, I came her by Uber." He put his arms on the table, resting his chin on them. "How about you?"
"My car."
"You drive?"
"Yeah. I love cars. I'm cool enough to drive."
From being shy to Daniel, Lauren now talked with him without being nervous. They talked for a while. That's the moment Daniel realized that he loved talking to Lauren and the girl herself.
They walked out of the cafe together. Daniel followed Lauren to her car. "Nice car."
"Thanks. He's my baby." Lauren said, caressing her car.
"Can I drive?" Daniel asked.
Lauren never let anyone driving her car because she doesn't want it to scratch whatsoever. But it's Daniel Seavey, someone that she fell in love with. "Sure." She handed over the car key to him.
"Thank you." Daniel placed a soft kiss on Lauren's forehead. damn.
"Where do you wanna go?" Daniel asked, looking at the gorgeous girl beside him.
Lauren shrugged her shoulder. "I don't know."
Daniel didn't say anything but smiled. He started the car.
"Please don't take me anywhere scary. I don't want you to kill me and sell my-" Daniel cut her off by kissing her lips. The taste of vanilla hit his'.
"I won't." He winked.
"wh- uh" Lauren stayed in silence, not knowing what to say. She can't admit that she didn't like the kiss.
