I looked at him with an annoyed face. "You don't have to tell me any birthday wishes or whatsoever, just sit down."
"Jisoo, be nice." My father said who, by the way, I'm annoyed at, too!
I smirked. "It's my birthday, I can do whatever I want."
He sighed.
And then, there's silence. Well, this is not how I expected this to start. I want to leave now.
5 minutes passed by without anyone talking. Finally, my father broke the silence.
"I wanted to talk to both of you today because I have a huge announcement." He sipped his coffee and looked at me. "My sweet Jisoo, I want to apologize for belittling you yesterday. I hope you believe me when I tell you that it's never my intention to hurt you. I'm so proud of the woman that you've become." he paused. "And I'm sure your mother would be very pleased to see how great of a woman you've become, too."
As much as I'm very annoyed at my father for bringing Eunwoo here right now, I couldn't help but feel happy in everything that he said.
God only knows how long I've waited for this.
I smiled. "Thank you, Dad. That means a lot to me."
He smiled back. After a while, he looked at Eunwoo. "Eunwoo, you are the greatest employee I've ever had. Thinking about it, this fact actually surprised me because I've been in this business for so long that I could remember and have worked with numerous talented and responsible employees...but you are still by far the best."
"Thank you so much, Sir. It's my pleasure to work for you." Eunwoo smiled and winked at me. AT ME. Like he's saying 'in-your-face' right now. Ugh, this asshole!
He probably already knows that I want the CEO position that my father plans to give to him. Well, he should, so he can back off now.
My father sighed. "Okay, now. I want you two to look at me as the CEO of Hotel Blue Rose, not your father nor your friend nor your handsome, kind, generous, and intelligent boss."
