Chapter 22: If You Do

Jinyoung smiled once he heard Jisoo's voice. His girlfriend's voice. Ah, just calling her 'girlfriend' already makes Jinyoung the happiest man alive. He could just dance in full bliss.

But he can't. He won't. He's currently at the meeting room waiting for the clients of Hotel Blue Rose to arrive. As the general manager, it's his responsibility to make sure that every employee is taking care of them.

"Did Lisa arrive already? How was it?" He played with his pen as he waits for Jisoo's answer.

"We missed her terribly, so of course, we were so happy to see her! Unfortunately, Rosé can't join us right now because she needs to take care of her baby. But she will arrive later at the dinner with Chanyeol. By the way, you're invited, too! Don't forget." 

He can imagine Jisoo scrunching her nose like a rabbit while telling him about the dinner later. That's why he couldn't stop himself from laughing.

"What are you laughing about?"

He tried to stop himself from laughing, but he really can't. "Nothing."

"Hey! What is it? Jinyoung?"

He grinned. "It's because you're so cute."

She didn't respond. 

"Jisoo, don't be mad. I'm just teasing you." Jinyoung said as he looked at the mirror in his office and fixed his tie.

She sighed. "Fine. Anyway, you're going to join the dinner later, right?" 

He nodded. "Yes. I'll see you later, love."

Jisoo blushed as she hears Jinyoung's sweet endearment to her. They've been dating for almost a year now, but she still couldn't believe that Jinyoung is her boyfriend now. 

"See you later." She smiled and hanged up the phone.

While they're driving away from the airport, Jennie noticed that Jisoo has been quiet. "Are you okay?" She asked as she squeezes her hand. 

Lisa and her husband are busy chitchatting, so Jennie decided to let them be and take care of Jisoo.
