Ok this is a pretty long one. I'm pretty proud of it though so keep reading. It's going to have more than one part so stay tuned as well.

"(Y/n). Your father has requested your presence." One of the maids knocked on my door.
"Thank you I'll be out in a moment."
I was just finishing getting ready and had put on my light purple tunic. It was our Kingdoms color and as the head of the royal guard I am obligated to wear it. I am wearing some light tan pants with mid-shin high boots as well as one leather strap running across my chest to carry my sword and bow, and another strap going just bellow my stomach to hold small pouches for money and another pouch for arrows. My father is the king. The King of my home, Xelan. Now you may be wondering, aren't you the princess? Then why are you the head of the royal guard. Let's just say a lot of convincing and promises were made.
I grabbed my sword and quickly walked to the throne room where I saw my father with a few men that I recognized from the next kingdom over. As princess and the royal guard leader, I knew almost everything about them except for the reason as to why they decided to show their faces today.
We are on the brink of war with them and our troops have been preparing but I pray that they have come to make peace.
"Father? May I ask what is going on?" I slowly made my way to them.
"Ah my dear (y/n). We have come to make peace with the kingdom of Hyrule." He seemed nervous.
"You... seem uneasy? What's being negotiated to bring peace between our kingdoms?"
Before father could speak, the messenger of Hyrule stepped up and explained everything to me in detail."So to sum it up, you shall marry the head of Hyrules royal guard." The man cleared his throat, "since Hyrule has no prince and the princes does not wish to marry with another princes (she's not homophobic don't worry) the heads of the royal guard is the next best option."
I sat in shock with wide eyes, "Father?! Why didn't you ask me if this was ok first?! As the princess of this very kingdom, I feel like some things should have been discussed beforehand!" I nearly yelled. I new nothing about the guards leader as the old one had just retired about three days ago.
"As your father and king, it has to be done before countless lives are lost. You will be sent off tomorrow morning to meet the man who you are to be wedded to."
"Tch." I quickly turned around and sped walked out of the room with tears threatening to spill from my eyes. I would defy him. Runaway even but that would be impossible. He may be my father but he's also the king of a very powerful kingdom.

I sat up groggily from my bed in exhaustion. I didn't fall asleep not once from the news I heard and even got up at one point to unleash my anger on a training dummy. Did it work though? No. Not one bit. I could feel the bags under my eyes and I felt like crawling into a cave to hide away.I jumped at the sound of maids bursting through my door, "ma'am we've come to help you get ready for your trip."
"Oh I don't think-" I was cut off by at least seven maids as they grabbed my arms and began fixing me up.
They began gossiping here and there but began talking about the man I was to marry. This is all going so fast! I had only received this news less that a day ago!
"I heard the head of the royal guard is an absolute stud!"
"Apparently he has ladies all over him too when he's on patrol."
"Oh I wish I was I your shoes!"
"He is very mysterious too! No one knows what he's thinking."
I silently scoffed at all their comments. I already don't like this guy. Sounds cocky and almost like he has the ego of a planet. Even if I've only heard three things about him.
