Zelda x Commoner! Female Reader

I made my way down the street, unable to hear the clicks of my soles against the stone ground due to the bustling sounds of the kingdom around me.

There wasn't a cloud in the sky from what the eye could see as houses and shops towered two stories overhead in a straight path, hugging the road where tiny patches of grass peeked out from the cracks in the ground.

I had a errand to run and I just so happen to pass the palace on the way so I would be able to admire the grand building for just a moment. The more the palace came into view the more I thought about the royal family, wonder how the decorate the inside of their gigantic home... or if they ever leave? No ones ever really seen them out side of the royal grounds before.

I slightly shook my head to clear my thoughts so I wouldn't get distracted by anything that would make me late to deliver this package before quickly stepping away from view of the palace.

I glanced around, scarcely taking notice of the increased amount of guards out today on patrol before I heard hushed whispers every now and then. One exchange caught my absolute attention though.

"Didn't you hear?" A woman whispered nearly bringing my quick feet to a halt, "The princess left the palace this morning without saying anything and the king is very upset."

"I wonder how she got around all the security!" Someone chipped in on the whispering, "no one can seem to find her so they amped up the patrol units. Can't believe she hasn't been caught yet." I registered the fact that I had completely stopped in my tracks and began walking again; slower this time. Those may just be rumors but I should probably keep an eye out.

The house I was taking the package to was just a few houses down. I gave the woman her parcel and made my way down to the best bar in the area. It had lovely outdoor seating and a nice view of the area. Once seated with a small appetizer I planned my eyes around the area looking at all the people passing by. The things I heard may be fake but hey, I haven't heard anything like this in a while. It's quite exciting!

I closed my eyes a few minutes later to enjoy the slight breeze making its way through the kingdom, hearing someone pull out a chair next to me. The metal of the chair legs on the ground gave off a loud squeak and scratch sound as the metal grinded against the stone.

"Is it ok if I sit here?" A woman wearing a large cloak asked me in a very hushed tone.

"Uh sure...?" I said instinctively as I was a bit startled by her sitting down before I could do or say anything. We sat in silence for just a moment before the woman spoke again, "excuse me but... I'm new here and wanted to ask someone to show me around. You seemed like a good person to ask."

"Oh! Uh...," I didn't know what to say to the strange person, "I don't have much going on today so why not?" I smiled awkwardly.

"Great! Thank you!" The cloaked figure spoke up this time. She had a strange accent too but she said she's new around here so I guess that's not a surprise.

I showed the stranger around all the nicest spots in the kingdom and we seemed to get along wonderfully. We had our laughs and I tried asking her where she was from but she refused to tell me. She didn't even take off her hood. We finally sat down somewhere as the sun began to set.

"Are you... hiding from someone?" I looked over to her and whispered, "if you are I won't tell anyone."

"W-what?! What makes you say that?!" I seemed to have spooked her.

"You definitely are! Did they do something bad to you? Did someone hurt you? I heard rumors about the princess this morning but- hold on." I stopped mid sentence as things began to click, "you don't happen to be named Zelda do you?" I lifted an eye brow with a smile because I thought she would laugh it off. There's no way she could be the princess.
