It was another busy day in the bakery. Many mothers and children; and the ocasional father or knight would drop in for a loaf of bread or the delicious taste of one of our many pastries. I always had one or two young males come in to order a slice of plain bread though and then just watch me work. It happened almost everyday now so I've grown used to blocking them out.
I hustled around the kitchen taking biscuits and cakes out of the oven and throwing them in the display case, making the glass fog up from the steam. I quickly mixed up a fresh batch of pound cake and when that was done I gently placed it in the fire of the oven alongside a pie that's been waiting to be baked into a delicious eruption of flavor. I heard the bell of the door ring as someone stepped inside.
"Hello welcome to Hyrules Breadsmith!" I said as I began a new batch of cookies, getting flour on my hands and apron.
I looked up to see the person examining the pastries and others treats I had made. He was another young male with dirty blonde hair and I think blue eyes? I was a few feet away so it was difficult to tell and the only thing that gave the color of his eyes away was because of his light irises, "what can I get for you today?" I chirped. I didn't recognize this customer but he wore the royal guards get up.
I met him at the counter and he looked up at me with a smile in his eyes.
"What would you recommend?"
"Ummm let's see... I personally enjoy most of the puff pastries and tarts like the apricot and almond galette or the spinach puffs but that's not even a dessert! If your looking for a dessert puff then I would recommend a-" I was cut off.
"Are you a cake?" He laughed but then went quiet.
"w-what? I don't understand." I tilted my head in confusion.
"Cause I want a piece of you." He smirked but I only sat there with a blank expression. Um... wow ok.
"That was the saddest pickup line I've ever heard." I sighed and shook my head trying to hide my smile. Don't know if it worked though.
"Ouch... that's cold. Well I'll see you tomorrow. Just thought I'd stop by." And he left just like that. What? He didn't even buy anything. Really?
I sat there a moment longer as the bakery was now empty and rush hour ended and the smell of burning cookies entered the room, "my cookies!"

Day after day, this new man would come in to flirt with me and even sit at one of the many tables to watch me. He didn't but anything and it was very strange and kind of creepy. We chatted quite a bit; half of it being flirting coming from him. He made lots of jokes and there was never a dull moment with him but good Hylia- I cant stand him. He actually thinks he's the stuff.
"Ok what are you doing now?" I groaned as he began walking around. Before resting his chin in the palms of his hands as he leaned over the counter.
"Just admiring the view." He smiled as I was struggling to mix a batch of dough.
Sighing, I ignored his words and began interrogating, "I really don't get you. Why are you in here so often?! You haven't even bought anything from me!" I pointed at him lazily with my elbow resting on my hip while I wiped flour from my cheek.
"That's just how I roll! Wanna go out with me tonight and check out the new restaurant down the street? I'll get my nicest carriage and beloved horse." He began daydreaming about the thought.
I stopped mixing the dough and marched over to where he was, "You do realize I don't even know your name right? Do you even know my name?! Why are you in here everyday?! At least buy something!" I put my hands on my hips and stared down at him.
