Chapter 3: Mistake

Matt POV:
I could barely sleep last night, I was up most of the night looking online for the perfect suit to wear, I need to ask Gabby what colour her dress is so we match. I'm gonna send her a text

M: hey Gabby, I was just wondering what colour your outfit is so I can get the right suit to match!?
G: Matt, don't be silly! Just wear something you already have,there's no need for a new suit.
M: no, I need a new one anyways.
G: if you insist, I'm wearing a black dress!
M: okay, I cant wait to spend time with you, see you later.

Matt POV:
I'm on my way to the mall to get my suit, I think I'm gonna get a plain black suit with a white shirt and black tie.
When I got to the mall they didn't have any black ties and all the white shirts were too small, so I ended up going for a black suit, light blue shirt and a dark blue tie.

Gabby POV:
I cant wait to see Matt and spend time with him, I wish I could stay in Chicago for longer but I need to get back to PR sadly, I prefer Chicago but I'm helping so many people in PR.

(Time skipped to the ball)
Gabby POV:
I arrived at the church and I didn't see Matt so he mustn't be here yet, I made small talk with my organisation who came with me. I don't know if Matt will find out I was never ordered to come here.

Matt POV:
I'm running late to the church but I don't think gabby will mind, I can't wait to see her. Im just about ready and I grab my keys and hop in my truck. When I arrive I walk in and the first thing I see is Gabby with a big smile on her face. She turns her head to see me and excuses herself from the group she was talking to, we went to get drinks from the bar and then Gabbys boss comes up and askes her if she can talk to a couple about their South American strategy. I walk towards the bar and get us wine while her boss makes conversation between us. I wasn't paying much attention towards her until she said that she wanted to send Gabby to all different places but she insisted on coming to Chicago to see somebody. She walked away as gabby finished talking to the couple and then a slow song started to play. Gabby had the idea to dance so we take a sip of our wine and head to the dance floor.

Gabby POV:
We set our drinks down and headed to the front of the church where the dance floor was, I took matts hand and we started slow dancing, it felt like nothing had changed, it was the same feeling I always remembered. The song was nearly over and I kept seeing Matt looking down and me and when I looked up he turned away, he has a smile on his face. I look up at him hoping he will look down and as he does he leans down to my lips and places a light kiss on them, I'm so happy.

Matt POV:
She didn't pull away or say anything so she musnt be mad, I signalled her to leave with me and so we got in my truck and we headed to her hotel room, as we entered she was infront of me and turns around and kisses me, the kiss keeps intenifiying until we are pulling each other's clothes off and fall on the bed.
G: is this a mistake, I'm leaving in 2 days.
M: no, no your staying. that was your biggest mistake.
