DateNight-Part 1

NATALIA'S OUTFIT FOR THE DATE⬆️

Every girl craves for a date night.Its not about receiving flowers or chocolates.A date isn't complete without lots of meaningful compliments,good food,holding hands,candle light dinner.Cliched much?
Maybe.Maybe I am a hopeless romantic and actually believe in happily ever after.

NATALIA'S POV

My school event was a hit.Everyone complemented me even though it was my first time as an anchor.I was in cloud 9.And to add the icing on the cake I was asked out by the hottest man that walked the earth.I noticed that many of my colleagues were watching me with envy.When Etienne asked me to talk to me privately,I realised everyone is staring at us.But Etienne didn't seem to bother.Ofcourse he is accustomed to people's scrutiny.

DATE NIGHT

"No!Nat you are not wearing that".Zita screamed.
"Nat are you competing with Etienne's grandmom? Your dress should help Etienne to be glued to you entire night."She had a glint in her eyes.
I held out yet another dress.
"He is not taking you to the sunday's church service."I surrendered putting my hands up in the air dramatically.
"Yes Zita bear, but I don't have anything to wear ."When do girls have sufficient dress?
"Hey wait,maybe I've got the dress for you."
She hurriedly opened her luggage and rummaged through her clothes.When she took out the beautiful dress I gasped.It was a golden sequin surplice wrap assymetrical cami dress.
"Who gave it to you?"I asked suspiciously.
"What I am a big girl.Cant I buy it on my own?"She said not meeting my eyes.
What the hell is my best friend hiding?
"Will you tell me?I am not wearing until you tell me."
"Damn it Nat,Jason gave it to me.Before he cheated on me,he gifted me this dress for our two year anniversary."
"I still cant believe Jason could do such a thing.But guess what?His bad luck,right Zita bear?"
"Absofuckinglutely."
Getting up I wrapped my arms around her waist.Nothing is more comforting then long meaningful hugs.
"Okay enough of this sad shit,let's get you a man.Its high time you get one".
Only she can switch from being sad to happy.

I hurriedly took a shower taking sometime to shampoo and condition my hair.
I got ready in the required time.Ettiene was out of town for a week yet he send me a rose and card to officially invite me for the date.I was beyond ecstatic.I put my hair in soft curls and let it loose ,put on nude lipstick matching my nude louboutin heels and sprayed my favourite vanilla honeysuckle perfume.
On a date one has to smell good.It was almost time,I hugged my mother and kissed her on her cheeks.
"You look beautiful Natalia.Come home on time sweety."I rolled my eyes.
"Thanks mum."Just then there was a knock on my door.I opened the door to reveal the guy himself.

ETIENNE'S POV

My jaw hung open at her sight.The dress hung her hour glass figure perfectly.She was looking ravishing.My world is different then hers,I have to keep her away from the prying eyes.My mouth went dry and I licked my lips.
"Natalia you look beautiful."She blushed.
"Why thank you Mr.Martin."She teased.I gave her a bouquet of orchids.She quickly kept it inside and moved out of her house, not inviting me inside.Afterall this is our first date,but soon my dear angel.
I have arranged a limo for our ride to the auction and then dinner at a five star.
We entered the car while I helped her to get inside.Her hands were cold and she was nervously fidgeting on her seat.I kept a reassuring hands on her hands and squeezed it.She seemed to be calmed by my gesture yet her eyes gave away every reaction she felt.
The paparazzi was waiting for us.
"I don't think I can do this.Why don't you go inside I'll wait for you in the car?"
"Oh,no not at all sweetheart.You just stay with me and let me do all the talking."She nodded.
"Hey look at me."I demanded softly.
Her innocent eyes looked at me.
"You look wonderful baby.Just show them you own this world.Do you get me?"
"Y..yes..Thank you."
"Welcome.."
I got down and helped her out of the limo.She stiffened at my side by the blinding camera flash.
"Smile and relax."I whispered in her ears.She smiled her fake smile.Wow I can even makeout when she's faking it.I wont fuck this up,I promised myself.
"Mr.Martin are you going to bid today?"
"Yes ofcourse,afterall its for such a noble cause."
"Who is the lady beside you ?"One of the journalist asked.
"She's my close friend and my date today."I grinned and kissed Natalia on her cheeks.She was surprised but she schooled her features quickly.
I said thank you to everyone and went inside.

NATALIA'S POV

The first thing that I realised today was that Etienne was kind and understanding.He didn't make fun of my nervousness.His attentiveness and support made me stood up in front of hundreds of paparazzi.Did I mention how hot he looked in his black tux?Just yummy enough to be eaten!!
He held my hands throughout the ride and never left my side inside the auction hall.

We were like centre of attraction as soon as we entered the lobby.All eyes turned towards us, rather him.The men were mentally undressing me. Ughh...disgusting,and women were drooling over him.Well I can't blame them..He walked and talked confidently as if he owns the place.
There were many hollywood actors and actresses,but to be honest I had my eyes only for him.He was just perfect.Hold on Nat don't give your heart to this man.I gave myself a mental pep talk.
After a while of socialising.I saw a couple heading towards us.The man looked just like Etienne.The women beside him had the same green eyes as Etienne.
"Hey mum ,Hey dad."
"Oh look at my son... looking so handsome."Her mother gushed.She was a beautiful women nothing like the other bitchy women shooting me daggers through their eyes.
"So who is the beautiful lady?"His mother asked.
"She is my date Natalia and Nat she's my mother."
"Nice to meet you Mr and Mrs Martin."
"The pleasure is all mine."His father replied and shook my hands.
"So Natalia where have you met Tien?"
"Well."Before I could reply Etienne cut me off mid sentence.
"Mum we'll discuss it later.There are people out here."Her mother nodded understanding.
"C'mon Natalia I'll show you around.Tien dear can I talk to your lady for a while?"Etienne stiffened yet he nodded.
"So Natalia tell me how much my son has paid you for today's date?"I widened my eyes.
"Excuse me p..paid.
Why would he pay me?"I asked.Confusion etching my face.
"So you are telling me he actually likes you?"
"Well I don't know about that Mrs Martin,but this is the first time he asked me out."
"Do you know how much does he own?I mean do you know how much he's worth?"she asked sharply.
"No..should I know?Does it matter?"I asked innocently.
"No you shouldn't,okay answer my last question.What kind of diamonds do you prefer?"
"Huh?"
"Maybe you are a good actress or you are actually naive.Whatever I like you dear Just forget what I asked.A mother has to look out for her son."She was genuinely worried for her son.I wonder why?

I frowned.
"Sorry Mrs Martin But I am not after his money if you think that way."I looked at the floor suddenly feeling small.
Her mother held my hands.
"I'm so sorry dear,its my misunderstanding.There are lots of women running after his money.."She trailed off.
"I shouldn't have said that to you.Will you forgive me?"
"Yes ofcourse."I smiled widely.
"Oh Natalia I like you."She hugged me and I hugged her back.She reminded very much of my own mother.
Etienne joined us while we were hugging
"Wow did I miss something?"
"Nothing dear.Natalia and me are just catching up."
"So can I take her away mum?"
"Someone is eager huh?" He rolled his eyes.
"C'mon I'll show you something.."
She whispered something in his ears.
He nodded seriously.
I wonder what she said?
