Joanne- One word challenge

Family

Joe and Dianne always thought it would be easy when they decided to try for a family of their own. They thought she would get pregnant in no time. They had the conversation and after two years of being together they decided they where ready to start trying to have a child. The first month when the test came back negative they where disappointed but they knew it might take longer than a month for it to happen. When it got to the sixth month of them trying and the test still kept coming back negative they started to get worried. What if one of them couldn't have children. They decided to give it one more month and if nothing happened they would go to the doctors.

That month was the month their first child was created. When they took the test sitting in the bathroom both Joe and Dianne where ready for the test to come back negative. They where expecting it, thats what the test had been every other month. They took a deep breath and turned the test over together hoping that this time they would be lucky. As soon as they saw the word positive they where both jumping up and down, hugging and crying both so excited about what was about to happen in their lives. They where going to have a baby of their own, half Joe and half Dianne.

The first ultrasound was like a dream for both of them. They where so happy to see their little baby on the screen and to hear its heart beat. In that moment both of their hearts overflowed. They couldn't believe they where looking at something they created together. The next nine months was filled with more ultrasounds, shopping for the baby and its room and letting all their friends and family know about the pregnancy. Everyone was so excited for them and all they wanted now was to meet their little baby. At their five month scan they had found out they where having a little girl and they where both over the moon. Joe had a little princess that he could spoil and Dianne had a little girl she could dress up and teach to dance.

Soon Dianne's due date came and went. It wasn't until she was five days overdue that she finally went into labour. She was taken to the hospital where she was having her planned water birth. Dianne was so strong during labour and Joe was there every step of the way supporting her. There baby girl was born later that evening and they where both overjoyed. When she was first placed on Dianne's chest she started to cry happy tears. She couldn't believe that she was finally here. Joe looked down at both of them with heart eyes. He couldn't be anymore happy at that moment. He had the love of his life and his little girl all together. They where finally a family.
