Part 53- Changes

*AFTER THREE YEARS*

"Hi sister!" I heard the door opens and closes as Ashley appeared infront of my office table. She is smirking while handing a folder.

"Hello." I greeted back icyly as she mockingly sat at the sofa near the center table. I started to scan the business report.

"Did you hear the news?" She asked.

"What news? " I asked her back not breaking my eyes from the report.

"That HE decline and ignore the proposal you made..  Uhmm..the merger? "

My stare drifted to her face and there's an insulting grin.

"It's a business proposal." Paglilinaw ko bago ko muling binasa ang hawak kong folder.

Kasabay noon ay ang masakit na pagpaparamdam ng puso ko. It's my first time to made that proposal para maipadala sa KANYA sa pilipinas... at hindi ko inaasahang wala pang kalahating oras ay may reply na agad ang company nila...

Pinapakiramdaman ko kung kailan aalis si Ashley. Usually,  secretary nito ang nagdadala sakin ng financial report na under her supervision... pero ngayon,. Heto at mukhang aasarin na naman ako ng bruha kong kapatid..

Oh wait! I haven't introduced her yet.. but I think you have an idea who she really is...

She's Ashley Sta. Maria.. step daughter of Serio Sta. Maria...  and that made her my half sister... legally sister ko siya because my own father adopted me para mas madali daw ang paglipat ng apelido niya sakin.. or para hindi masiraang pangalan niya kapag nalaman ng iba na may anak siya from his past..

Yep.. Serio Sta Maria is my biological father... he married his business partner  here in London England matapos nilang maghiwalay noon ni mama. Dito na siya nagtagumapay sa negosyo. As for my Step mother.. well,  I heard she passed away  five years ago,leaving her only daughter to my father.

"Are you listening to me?" Gigil na tanong ni Ashley sakin.

I let out a deep breath.  "I'm sorry, ano nga ulit ang sinasabi mo? "

She raised her eyebrows. "I just said I'm not wondering why he didn't want you meddling with his company. " Here we go again... Naiiling na inilipat ko sa ibang page ang binabasa ko. Then I started reading mentally, I hope Ashley notices that I don't want to hear her preaching right now.

Mas matanda ako sa aming dalawa pero mas madalas siya ang mag sermon.  But infront of other people, she act's like an angel.

"Huh! After hiding for him for three years, bigla ka na lang makikipag business partner sa kanya?  He is not stupid to fall for your plan sister. " her voice full of sarcasm. I felt the pang of pain and guilt eating my soul.

"I didn't hide! Did I? " I can stop  gritting my teeth. My eyes is stariting to get stingy.

"Yes you did. He looked for you but what did you do?" I can't help but to bit my lower lips...  Ashley have a very good version of torturing me. "You broke his fragile little heart sister..."

I didn't mean to leave him... but I need to ask for space..

And I don't need to explain myself to the girl who is b*tch*ng infront of me.

I gave her the sharpest glare I could give to a person .

"Get out."I heard a cry in my voice. I'm still hurting by what I've done to US...
