Hugo Duane Agreste gets up early for school. He can hardly wait to start his new year of school. He says, "Bye, Mom and Dad, see you later!"  as he heads out the door.

"Bye, son!  Have a great day at school!"  Adrien and Marinette say together as they wave bye to him.

Hugo arrives on time and is glad to see his teacher is Camille Bustier Damocles as his teacher.

"Hi, class and welcome everyone to Dupont High school!  It is nice to see some familiar faces as last year as well as some new students. Today, we have three new students, Hugo Duane Agreste, his sister, Elizabeth Hope Agreste, and Lavine Morgan Smith. So please do make them feel welcome!   Now class turn to your poetry book to page 12, Hugo how about you read the poem for us." Mrs. Damocles says.

Hugo reads the poem, "What is a Rose?" by William Shakespeare, "A rose by any other name will smell just as sweet some may say, but what I say is a Rose?  For a Rose can it not be..."

  "BOOM!  Crash!"

"Class do not forget your poetry assignment is due this Friday! It must be about a pet, or someone else you love!   That will be it for today, class dismissed!" Mrs. Damocles remarks.

Hugo runs outside in a hurry to hide when he sees a girl from his class Lavina, who insists she go by Lavine is about to be hit by a laser!  He pushes her out of the way.  "Ah," Hugo screams as the bad dude's laser hits him instead.

As the villain rushes off, Lavine reaches down and helps Hugo up.

"Hi, there I am Lavina, but you can call me Lavine," she says.

Hugo is grateful for her help but tries not to show it.

"I am H-Hugo!   I was just fine without your help!"  He says sarcastically and blushes.

"Yes, I can see that Hugo," Lavine laughs and blushes.

"What is so funny?" Hugo asks as he glares at her.

"Nothing, see you tomorrow, Hugo!" Lavine says.

"S-see you t-tomorrow, L-Lavine!"  Hugo says.  He watches her go and thinks great I just embarrassed myself in front of a cute girl.

After Lavine left, Hugo sighs and thinks, great going Agreste!   He can not believe how bad his first day has been already.

Meanwhile, Lavina "Lavine" laughs as she thinks about how cute Hugo is despite his rudeness. She likes him and recalls he did help her.  She figures there must be some way to get on his good graces, but how?

Elizabeth shakes her head when she sees Hugo run off in one direction and Lavine in the other. She recalls how her parents told her they were once Ladybug and Chat Noir, but now are retired.
