"Sure, I will be glad to be friends with you. I am mean you a hero, so I think it would be a good idea," Lavine says. She smiles and thinks, why do his green eyes remind me of someone?
"Great, glad to hear it, Lavine," Chat Noir says. He grins at her.
"Well, friend, why did you want to see me? I mean there are lots of other girls in Paris," Lavine says.
"Yes, that might be true, but none of them is you," Chat says. He thinks smooth move you made there boy.
"Chat, you sound like such a flirt," Lavine says. She laughs.
"Well, I only intend to flirt with you and one other person, " Chat says.
"Oh, and who might that be anyway?" Lavine asks.
"My partner, Ladybug, she is so amazing," Chat Noir tells her.
"Wow, you like her, huh?" Lavine asks. She blushes just a little.
"Yes, because she is so cute," Chat says. He thinks, she reminds me of you.
"Chat, goodness, with such a sweet personality you are bound to have her fall for you in no time," Lavine says. She thinks, perhaps, I already have, then thinks, whoa hold it girl. You are in love with Hugo, how can you be in love with Chat Noir?
"Well, got to go, see ya!" Chat says.
"Yes, see you!" Lavine calls out after him.
Chat Noir leaves and Lavine sighs. Lavine still can not help, but think there is something familiar about that cat, but what?
The next day, Lavine arrives in school on time and goes to her desk. Her eyes blink twice as she sees him enter the classroom. To her amazement, Hugo is back and he is inside the room with her. She thinks, when did he get back? Why did not he tell me?
"Hi, princess, did you miss me?" Hugo asks.
"Hugo, you are back!" Lavine says. She grins at him and hugs him.
"Hugey, it is so great to see you!" Madison says and flashes him a big smile.
"Hey, you stay away from my girlfriend," Marcus says.
"Look, Marcus, I do not mean any harm," Hugo says.
"Leave him alone! He is my best friend and he only got back to town recently, so chill, man," Hank says.
"Yes, Leave my brother alone!" Elizabeth retorts.
"Lavine, there is no way, Hugo came here to see you. Your a nobody, got it," Madison scoffs. She laughs.
"She is not, so leave her alone! She is important to me!" Hugo says. He glares at Madison in annoyance at once.
"I mean it, leave my girl alone!" Hugo tells her.
"Whoa, Hugo, is there something you are not telling us?" Hank asks. He says this to tease him.
"Not now, Hank," Hugo scoffs.
Later, after school, Lavine walks home and Hugo walks with her. The two are rather quiet until they get to her place. Once there, Lavine says, "It is okay, you can come inside if you want too."
"I better go home," Hugo says.
"Oh, but I thought..." Lavine says sadly.
"It is not that I do not want to it just my parents want to see me too that is all," Hugo says.
"What? Have they already seen you?" Lavine asks.
"Yes, but that was just earlier today. I got back rather late last night and..." Hugo says.
"I thought you were different, but I suppose Chat Noir is the better friend already," Lavine says. She looks upset when she speaks.
"Chat Noir, whoa, what does he have to do with this?" Hugo asks.
"Nothing, it is nothing," Lavine says.
"I do not mind your being friends with Chat Noir because he is a friend of mine too," Hugo says.
"Funny, he never mentioned you when he came to see me last night," Lavine responds.
"Lavine, I am sorry, okay," Hugo says.
"Sorry for what? Sorry for leaving me or for coming back and acting like we are just old chums?" Lavine asks. She looks angry now.
"I am sorry for leaving and for hurting you. I never meant too, I promise I just never thought you could love me," Hugo says.
Lavine reaches up and places a hand on Hugo's face.
Hugo thinks, what are you doing to me? He blushes.
Lavine sees him blush, and says, "Hugo, I love you!"
"I love you too," Hugo says.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" Hugo asks.
"Yes," Lavine says.
Hugo stares into her eyes and she stares back into his. He notices her hand remains on his cheek. He closes his eyes and she leans in and kisses him on the cheek.
"Lavine, I will come to see you again, soon, I promise," Hugo says. He leaves.
Lavine watches him go and thinks, is he friends with Chat Noir or does he just say so to make me feel better about the whole situation?
Two days later, Lavine is about to walk home after school, when Madison comes over to her and slaps her.
Hugo is hidden behind the school. He hears Lavine's screams and looks around the corner. He frowns, and calls out, "Plagg claws out!"
He transforms and jumps in front of Madison.
"Leave her alone!" Chat scowls at her.
" Wait, you are friends with Chat Noir?" Madison asks.
"Yes," Lavine says.
"You are kinda cute," Madison says.
"You are nasty, and I am not into rude, prideful girls like yourself. You are not my type," Chat says.
Chat winks at Lavine and she blushes a little. He picks her up and jumps away with her.
Madison is left behind in the dust. She thinks, hmmm, if Chat is friends with Lavine where does that leave Hugo?
Marcus takes Madison out on a date , and this seems to distract her from Lavine and Chat for the moment.
