The next day, Hugo gets up early and goes to work at the car wash, then goes to school. After school, Clara walks up to him and smiles, Hugo ignores her and she follows him to the hotel.
"Go away, Clara, I told you I will not date you. I do not love you," Hugo says.
" Who is she who stole you from me?" Clara asks, jealous.
"Her name is Lavina Morgan Smith, who goes by Lavine, but she does not want anything to do with me," Hugo answers sadly.
"Well, she is either stupid or plain clueless because..." Clara begins to say, but gets interrupted.
"Do not you ever say that again because I love her and will never stop. So go away, "Hugo says angrily.
"Do not worry, Hugo, I will never bother you again, good day," Clara says and stomps off.
After Clara leaves, Hugo returns to his hotel room where he lives, does his homework, and checks his phone for messages. He sees the ones Lavine sent him. He thinks, wait how did she get my number?
Hugo wonders why Lavine misses him and sounds so upset at the same time. He paces the room unsure what to do now. He decides to send her response not sure what this means for their future.
He hopes she will either forgive him, or in time forget him even if it means he is hurt. He orders a pizza and sighs.
Hugo sent Lavine an email instead of a text though since he felt like he has a lot to share with her.

To: LavineMorganSmith@gmail.comDear Lavine,
I do not where to begin to start now. I am sorry I did not tell you I would leave.
I thought you would not care. Now, I see that I was wrong. Please, if you can find in your heart forgive me, I never meant to hurt you.
I admit your text messages came as quite a shock. You see I thought you hated me.
As for Clara she could never get in the way of our relationship because I do not love her and never will. Princess, I am sorry I never told you truth.
Even now words can not seem to express the deep affection I have for you. Forgive me. You see when you told me you could "... no longer be my math tutor," I was deeply wounded because I thought this meant
you cared for another.
I saw how Marcus looks at you and thought you loved him too. Now, I realize I was wrong.
Princess I will return to Paris someday I assure you, but it can not be today, nor tomorrow. For I must wait to return until I am old enough to treat you the way you deserve.
Farwell, sweetheart. Farwell, my dearest Lavine.
Sincerely,
