3 hours after the accident in the training room, my body is healed and I'm set for an extensive mental check up with Strange. Instead of being located to another room, Strange blocked off the room I was placed in to treat my broken bones. "Peter, it seems you've developed Acute Stress PTSD." I played with my fingers. "It's our fault, we wanted you to come to us when you were ready, but that seems to have made it worse. For now on, you'll be taking Trazadone. It's a sleeping medicine and antidepressant mixed. You'll be expected to come in and talk to Natasha or Clint once a week for the next few months. You're not sick Pete, you're going to be okay. But you can't fight us on this." I slumped my shoulders in defeat.
He left me alone and I buried my face in my hands. I heard the door open and someone sat on the bed. "I heard her...I saw her. I...I couldn't save her. She asked me who my next victim is going to be? How many people am I going to hurt doing this?" My voice cracked and I looked up. Tony frowned. "I don't know kid. I lost Pepper because I was afraid of losing everyone. She couldn't take it and she left. You know who I found after she left me?" He put a hand on my shoulder. "You. You have this...bubbliness. This need to save everyone. Kid that's just not possible. You've got to let go, except that she's gone. Once you do that, you can focus on getting better. He patted my leg and got up. "Do you want to stay in here or join us upstairs?" I slowly got out of bed. "I want to go out." Tony furrowed his eyebrows. "I don't know if that's a good idea." "Well it's a good thing I wasn't asking."
I put the suit on, taking a look around my room before pulling the mask onto my head. I slid open my window and shot a web to the building across the street. I jumped out of the window and held on tightly to the web. I reached the building and I flipped onto the roof, landing in a crouched position. "Karen search for anyone in trouble." It was silent before Karen spook up, "There is a robbery in progress at Joe's Deli." Knowing where that is, I swung to the part of town I haven't been since the incident. I stopped on sidewalk outside of the deli and I snuck in, hearing the voices of men demanding for money. I slowly stepped into view. "How about you get jobs you lazy assholes." The two men whipped around and pointed their guns at me. I forced myself to not freeze and I quickly shot webs at the muzzle, stopping any bullets from coming out. I proceeded to web them together, waiting for the police while the man who owned the shop cleaned up.
A night without any casualties lead me to sitting on the roof of the apartment building I used to live in. I stared out at the sunset and breathed, letting any bad thoughts fly away. I heard someone land on the roof. "Spidey!" I looked back and found Deadpool sheathing one of his swords on his back. "Where have you been?" He skipped over and plopped down on the roof, swinging his legs. "Away, I heard you were back in town. Another mission?" He shook his head. "A new start. My girlfriend died and I needed to get out of where I was." I nodded and stayed silent. My comms crackled and I tapped my ear. "Karen what's going on?" "There seems to be an issue back at the compound. Jarvis is offline." I stood up. "Can you get in contact with Tony?" "No sir." I groaned and stood up. "Nat?" "Negative." "WELL WHO CAN YOU CONTACT?" I felt like I am suffocating. "Woah woah, kid calm down." Deadpool grabbed my shoulders. I felt like I was going to pass out. "I...I need to save them. I..I.." The world spun and I stumbled out of Deadpool's grip. He caught me before I fell and for what felt like the billionth time, I passed out.
I woke up in a rundown apartment. "Oh good you're awake." I noticed the breeze on my face and realized I wasn't wearing my mask. "Sorry kid, wasn't sure if you were breathing." The guy, who I recognized as Deadpool tossed me my mask. "You look awfully young to be an Avenger. Speaking of, they seem to be okay. Your phone has been going off nonstop." I didn't bother pulling my mask on. I grabbed my phone off the coffee table placed conveniently to my left. I checked the messages, everyone having varied texts or concern. I texted Tony back, telling him I was cut off from everyone and asking what happened. "Listen..." "Call me Wade." I nodded, looking up into the eye holes of the mask. "Listen Wade, I'm okay. I need to go. Thank you for...saving me? Sorry for passing out on you." I stood up, ignoring the woozy feeling. "No problem...I'm going to continue calling you Kid." I rolled my eyes. "It's Peter, Peter Parker." I noticed an open window and I dove out of it, swinging as I pulled my mask over my face. I recognized the area I'm in.
"Peter! Peter come in!" My comms screamed in my ear as I got in range of the compound. "Nat? What's going on?" I heard several breaths of relief. "Peter Benjamin Parker!" I stopped on top of a roof closest to the compound. "Cap? Guys seriously tell me what's going on." "There was a fire, burned the lab." "Anyone hurt?" I braced myself for the bad news. "No, everyone is okay, we need you home."
