I got to the compound and Tony rushed me off to my room to put "something nice on". I swear he acts like my dad. I opted to put on black skinny jeans and a button up shirt. After fixing my hair and putting on shoes, Jarvis let me know that the party is starting. I exited my room and quickly walked to the lounge, finding a lot of people already there. I zeroed in on Rhodey and he waved at me. "Hey Peter! How is everything here?" Rhodey used to be cold toward me, scared of the things I could do. "Pretty good." We exchanged a few more words before he went to a group of women, telling them a story that I didn't find very funny.

The party wound down to about 9 of us on the couch. Clint snorted and pointed to Thor's hammer. "It's a party trick!" Thor's eyes widened and I snickered. "No it's more than that." Clint shook his head and waved his hand dismissively. "Uh, "Whosoever be he worthy shall haveth the power!" Whatever man! It's a trick." Thor motioned to his hammer, "Be my guest." Everyone oohed and I laughed loudly, putting my elbows on my knees. Clint rolled his eyes. "Come on!" Tony urged him. "Really?" Thor nodded and Clint stood up, rolling up his sleeves and put his hands on the hammer. "Clint, you've had a tough week, we won't hold it against you if you can't get it up." We laugh again and Clint goes to lift the hammer, but the hammer doesn't move an inch. I snicker and he sits down, pouting. "Go Tony." Tony stood up and we all start to mock him. "It's physics." He states and Banner snorts. "Physics!" Tony looks dead at Thor, grabbing the hammer with both his hands. "Right, so, if I lift it, I...I then rule Asgard?" "Oh of course." Thor grins and sits back relaxed. Tony tries to lift it, failing. "I'll be right back." He comes back with one of his Iron Man hands, still failing. Both him and Rhodey try together and both fail. After them, Banner tries and fails, he tries to become the Hulk and fails at that too. Steve went up next and I swore I saw it move a little. "Nat you try." Natasha looked at me and shook her head, a slight smile on her face. "That's not something I want to know."

"Peter try." Tony laughs loudly. "What makes you think a 16 year old kid can get it?" I shot him a glare and stood up, wiping my hands on my pants. "Thor if I lift this, I want to know every one of Loki's secrets." Thor nods and I put my hands on the handle. I try to move it, and surprisingly it felt really light. Thor sat up and I blushed awkwardly. To spare him being mad at me, I made sure to barely move it. I pulled my hands away from it and held up my hands in surrender. "It's rigged right?" Thor laughed and stood up, lifting the handle. "Sure, I've got a simpler theory, you're all not worthy." The hair on the back of my neck stood up and I slowly stood up. "Kid?" A loud screeching sound filled our ears and I covered my ears, wincing. A broken robot came into view. I readied my web slingers, staring at the others cautiously. "Worthy... No... How could you be worthy? You're all killers." The robot spoke and I looked at Steve, who motioned for me to be quiet. "Stark." Tony tried calling for Jarvis, but got no response. "I'm sorry, I was asleep. Or...I was a-dream?" Something isn't right. I looked around, hoping to see the source of my discomfort. Tony kept muttering something and I tuned back into what was being said. "There was a terrible noise...and I was tangled in... in...strings. I had to kill the other guy. He was a good guy." That put all of us on alert. "You killed someone?" Steve and I asked at the same time.

I tapped the comms I keep in my ear. "Karen, search for Jarvis." I got no response back and I frowned. "Who sent you?" The robot played back a recording of Tony's voice. ""I see a suit of armor around the world"." "Ultron!" Banner shouted and I furrowed my eyebrows. Who the hell is Ultron? "In the flesh. Or, no, not yet. Not this...chrysalis. But I'm ready. I'm on a mission." Natasha looked at me warily. "What mission?" She inquired cautiously. "Peace in our time." The wall breaks apart and a swarm of old and broken robots come in. I shot a few down and jumped onto the ceiling, swinging around and smashing robots as they came out. Maria Hill, who I've only met twice, was shooting at one before it turned to her. I shot a web at it and pulled it to me, tearing its head off. She nodded a thank you. Tony starts shutting down a robot. "We're here to help, it's unsafe." It kept repeating the mantra. Tony pulled out some wires at the same time that Banner tossed Cap his shield, who in turn threw it at the last robot. "That was dramatic! I'm sorry, I know you mean well. You just didn't think it through. You want to protect the world, but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to...evolve?" Ultron picks up one of the dismembered robots and thrusts it forward. "With these? These puppets? There's only one path to peace: The Avengers' extinction." My eyes widened and I kept trying to get Karen to respond. Thor threw his hammer and it hit Ultron, dismembering him. "I had strings, but now I'm free. There are no strings on me, no strings on me."

We all congregate in the lab and Tony is going through stuff. "What was that?" Everyone ignores me and I sigh. "Hey!" They stop and look at me and I crossed my arms. "Someone want to explain." Tony started to laugh and I stared at him incredulously. "You think this is funny Stark? He threatened extinction!" Everyone started to argue and Thor lifted Tony up by his neck. I looked around helplessly, trying to find a way to calm everyone down.

I spot a fire alarm and I shot a web at it, waiting for it to turn on. The sound blared and everyone stopped, staring at me. "Karen turn off the alarm." The alarm stopped and I glared at the adults. "Can we all stop acting like a bunch of children? Now someone explain to me what the fuck is going on?" Thor set Tony down and picked up his hammer. "I'm going to go look for the scepter." He left and I sighed. "Kid maybe you should sit this one out." I laughed mockingly. "You can't make that decision for me." Clint whistled and turned around, facing Natasha. "Really? Because my suit and your place on this team says otherwise." "Tony! That's your kid!" I crossed my arms. "Want to tell me what's going on?" Tony stood up straighter, his stare challenging. "Peter you're sitting this one out." I threw my hands up. "Fine, but if one of you gets hurt, that's on me. That's on all of us."
