Skye

It's begun?

Babies are coming?!

Suddenly I feel unbearable pain in my body, coming from my lower stomach.

"Hunter!" I cry out before everything goes black.

I'm woken up by feeling heavenly tingles all over my face. I don't even have to think about who's touching me, since it's clear that it's none other than my mate.

My mate!

The babies!

I shoot up from the bed before falling back down when a wave of pain spreads through my body.

"Skye! Goddess don't do that, you're still not healed yet." Hunter worriedly frowns, helping me sit up slowly.

"The babies! What about the babies?!" I panic, clutching desperately onto his arm.

"They're both fine. With two sets of healthy lungs if their screams are anything to go by."

"Where are they?"

"They're with your dad and Ruby."

"Are they..." I trail off, not knowing how to ask whether my kids are werewolves or hybrids.

"Both. Our prince is a hybrid and our little princess is a werewolf."

I only grin, trying to ignore the pain in my stomach. Hunter leans in to give me a loving kiss before sitting on the bed next to me, supporting my back with his arm. "I'm so proud of you, my love. You have no idea how happy you made me." He tells me and I don't miss how his voice breaks.

"I want to see them!"

"Then you'll have to ask your dad to leave them for a while. – Hunter teases – Though I doubt he's ready to do that. He's been hogging his grandkids ever since they were taken to the nursery."

"Can you take me there?" I plead.

"I'd love to, but you have to heal first after the cesarean. You lost a lot of blood."

"Why? What went wrong?" I feel panicky.

"Don't worry, my love. Everything went fine. The babies are okay. I was afraid it's still too early for them to be born, but apparently that wasn't the case. We miscalculated the birth date. Since I'm a hybrid, with both the werewolf genes and Undead genes, the babies grew faster. Brian even called my mom and asked her about this. She told him that it's possible that the kids will get born earlier if they have the Undead gene." Hunter patiently explains, stroking my head gently.

"So it wasn't because of me?"

"No, love. Of course not. We just didn't expect it. It was our mistake." He assures pressing his lips to my head.

That's when it strikes me.

"How long was I out?" I must smell awful!

"Five days. But don't worry, the nurse helped feed the babies. Besides our little prince was more into biting my fingers than drinking your milk." He finishes with a chuckle, making me frown in pure confusion.
