Dev woke up around 9am the next day.
He went to the bathroom and got ready to face the day. Later when he got ready he carefully went into Pari's room to check on her. Dev saw her fast asleep so he decided not to bother her. She didn't get much sleep the past few days. Poor thing was filled with anxiety and many nightmares were haunting her. The last thing she needed was Dev waking her up. He closed the door and went to grab his stuff. He took everything he needed and left for work. Dev drove to woke and decided to call home and inform Pari once he arrived. He just wanted to make sure she was alright and everything was fine.

Dev arrived at his company and went into his office. He sat down and the first thing he did was call home to check on Pari. He would call her phone, but she said that her phone was stolen, which was unfortunate. Dev dialed the number and waited for Pari to pick up.

"Hi Pari, I just called to check up on you, I hope I didn't wake you up."

"I'm fine Dev and no don't worry, you didn't wake me up." A tired Pari said from the other end of the line.

"Will you be alright? Do you need anything?" Dev said concerned.

"I will be fine Dev I promise."

"You better tell me the truth!" Dev laughed.
Their conversation was interrupted by a loud banging on the door.
"Hang on Pari, I have to check who that is." Dev said putting down the phone without hanging up. Who else would disturb him like this. Kabir couldn't keep calm anymore, he had to know where Pari was. He didn't care anymore, he was sure Dev knows where she is, so he had to question him about her.
"Come in." Dev said.
Didn't take long for Kabir to burst into the room. Pari knew it was not nice to spy on other people, but just out of curiosity she didn't hang up the phone and continued to listen to the conversation.
"Where is she?" Kabir yelled while walking closer to Dev.
Dev was confused, he had no clue what was going on. Pari's heart dropped. It practically exploded. She would be doomed if he finds out where she is. Yet she didn't want to risk Dev getting hurt. So she was mainly worried about him.
"Where is who?" Dev asked confused.
"Look man if you don't tell me where she is now things will end bad!" Kabir continued to yell while grabbing Dev's collar.
"Kabir if you don't stop this right now I will have to call security!" Dev said and freed himself from his grip. Dev didn't fear Kabir, he just wished he could understand what he wants.
Pari felt like she was going to faint.
She just couldn't possibly scream and tell Dev not to tell anything to Kabir.
Else Pari was sure Kabir would kill Dev.
"Where is Pari?!"
Dev didn't understand anything anymore, Kabir didn't know Pari was at his place? And wasn't he supposed to be on some sort of business trip? He was getting a huge headache. Pari was just praying Dev wouldn't tell him anything.
"You don't know where Pari is?" He asked calm.
"Would I come here and ask you else?" Kabir said annoyed. He tried to control his anger. Dev was his only source to Pari and he shouldn't mess it up.
"Something happened with her?"
"It's none of your business!" Kabir groaned.
Dev was getting a little suspicious. He couldn't pinpoint why, but he wasn't trusting Kabir with his temper, so he didn't want to tell him where she was. Now it seemed like she ran away from home, but why?
"Kabir I have no idea where Pari is, she hasn't come to work for a long time now, shouldn't she be home with you?"
Kabir was filled with anger, but he didn't want to show it.
"Thanks for nothing you idiot." Kabir hissed and went away slamming the door. He finally left Dev's office and went back home. Pari was relived, she couldn't believe he gave in so easily. But she was thankful anyway.

Dev picked up the phone again.
"Pari? Kabir was here and is looking for you." Dev explained.

Pari took a deep breath and tried to remain calm. She didn't want Dev to find out she was listening.
"Oh really? Kabir is back, why did he come to the office though? Maybe I should meet up with him somewhere." Pari tried to act surprised. She felt sick to her stomach. Kabir was the last person she wanted to meet.

"I don't know, should I just tell him to meet you at my place and pick you up?" Dev suggested.

"NO! whatever you do please don't tell him where I am!" Pari bursted.
Shit, Pari thought. She didn't mean to say that, but she had no other option. It was either face Kabir and die or tell Dev the truth.
"What do you mean I shouldn't tell him where you are? Pari what the hell is going on?" Dev said in total confusion.
"It's so complicated, just please don't tell him where I am." Pari said while starting to sob.
"I'm coming home right this minute and you will tell me the truth and I mean the truth!"
"Dev.. please it's okay.."
"No that's it, I'm on my way." Dev said and hung up. He was tired of Pari lying to him. That was not the first time she had avoided Kabir and or a conversation with him. Dev took his stuff and rushed to his assistant. He explained to her that he would leave early today. Dev drove home as fast as he could. Once he arrived he rushed home to find a sobbing and devastated Pari.

Dev went to her and wiped her tears away while hugging her tightly. Pari just buried her face in his chest for a while before saying anything. Dev wanted to know what was going on, he needed to know the truth. Pari wasn't going to argue with that, he had all the right to demand the truth from her.
"Can you please explain me what's going on?" Dev asked.
"You want to know the truth? Well the truth is.."
