I fell asleep on the windowsill without warning. It was a warm breeze that blew in through my windows and filled my room and surprisingly that's all I needed to close my eyes for me.
It wasn't until I felt the air around me getting colder that my eyes fluttered for the first time. I scoffed seeing as the room was getting darker without my permission. Yet I remained in my bedroom by my windowsill, vouching for the darkness rather than my comfort.
Just ten more minutes.
I felt what may have been a little bug ramming into my head, my nose scrunching in the process. Can't I sleep in peace for a few more minutes? Was that too much to ask?
I curled further into my arms as I tried to restart my marathon of doing absolutely nothing. That is until what felt like a whole bird landed with a thump on my arm.
"Ow what the.." I startled awake
all for my heart to stop
"Hey princess"
Namjoon laughed a quick laugh causing me to lose focus of what he had said.
"No need to look like you're furiously looking for excuses. Just give me ten minutes" and when he smiled his dimpled smile, I couldn't help but forget all the worries in the world.
Before I knew what I was doing, I instinctively reached for my favorite red dress, slipping into it quickly and giving myself a glance over before running to the door.
I was breathing heavily when I opened it, laying eyes on none other than Kim Namjoon.
It wasn't until I met his eyes that I realized how wrong it felt to have done all that. The person you love appears in front of you ten years after you knew your feelings for him only to tell you that "all he wanted was for you to be his" with no explanation. And of course you ran like a mad woman towards him.
You shook your head before tucking a piece of hair behind your ear.
"Hi" you said much more nonchalantly than you had wished.
"You look beautiful" he said in awe, something you hadn't expected as your head shot up to meet his eyes.
Your cheeks turned red without your permission. Fearing anything and everything you quickly moved to close the door. Luckily Namjoon didn't let you.
"Sorry sorry haha" he laughed it off
"Just never told you that enough is all. And I don't want any other moments like that"
His eyes pierced mine before I had a say in it. I could feel myself tearing up, all my emotions rushing to me. Luckily, I continued without sobbing as if I hadn't been hoping that he would appear at my windowsill for the past ten years of my life.
"Uh..so did you need anything? Maybe advice or needed to talk anything out or..?"
"Just ten minutes. With me" he cut me off
"Please" and as his eyes begged for something I had yet to fully realize, my heart begged me to go.
"........alright"
I closed the door behind me as I looked at the clock behind me. It was exactly 5 minutes before 7 p.m.
