PERFECT STRANGERS

Tianshi  had patted  the tiger asleep but she nevertheless continued to feel its smooth fur.

It was peaceful and there and then she noticed that it was harmless, at least to her.

"Who are you?" Lao Yueliang asked that her attention diverted from the tiger beside her to the young man who was cleaning his spear.

"Excuse me?" Tianshi asked

"It is fine if you don't wish to tell me who you are, perhaps you are asking exactly why I am interested." Lao Yueliang said before he was interrupted.

" Tianshi." She softly answered his question without another second thought.

"Tianshi, an angel." The Emperor said.

"You must know who I am now." Tianshi said.

"Of course, I know you are descended from nobility, I can tell by what you are wearing.

That is no ordinary woman's fashion and considering the fact that they called you my Lady, it speaks it out as well." The Emperor said.

For a moment the two looked at one another in the eye, they never blinked and seemed to look beyond into one another.

"Well, it is good that you know exactly who I am but I have no idea who you are, you have not told me more about yourself."  Tianshi said.

"Well, what is there for me to say?" The Emperor said sure that she had already known he was of the nobility, he also had a servant.

"You must be a very simple man but do not worry, I wish to know, at least you and the other man look to be very close siblings.

" Of course." The Emperor lied, remembering how they had simply dressed up like the ordinary people and Gang Lee would never address him by his title outside the capital.

Of course, he did not wish to tell her who he was, suggesting the fact that they were this side, it was possible that she was of the Tian Nobility.

He knew most of the noble ladies in his Empire ever since he was young, it was possible that she would not talk with him any further after knowing who he was.

"You noticed during our fight earlier, our spears." Tianshi said as he drew out of his imagination and brought his attention back to the Empress.

"Sure." The young Emperor said as he shifted his hand and looked at his spear, it beamed in the sunlight and glowed brightly sending beautiful reflections around the walls of the pit.

The colors were brilliant and so was the entire specter, it was so astonishingly beautiful as Tianshi stood to her feet careful not to awaken the tiger.

She held her spear out into the light as well as it beamed and sent another group of colors on the wall.

The view was much more beautiful as the two stared at the colors that seemed to move around like a mist.

"I am Lao Ming." The Emperor said as he saw how she was taken by the beauty of the colors. 

She snapped back into reality as the colors slowly phased out.

"Lao Ming." She said as though trying to memorize it.

"Tianshi." Lao Yueliang also said as the two drew closer.

"I wonder why that happened." Tianshi said.

"I do not know either." The Emperor replied.

"How did you possess that spear?"  Tianshi asked him.

"It was from my father and as his successor, he passed it down to me, it is our family heirloom." The Emperor replied.

"Mmm." Tianshi said as she pursed her lips.
