It had been three days since the Emperor and a few troops had left the city.
No news had been received for a while and Bao Chan had ordered that the city gates be closed at all times.
Tianshi had been led out of her room after the Governess pleaded to teach her and prepare her to be married off .
On the third day, the Emperor arrived at the Western Fortress.
The She'ngda troops were camped outside and their flags were flown in the air.
The Emperor reached inside the General's palace and he was warmly welcomed with his son.
"Your Majesty." The General said and kowtowed to the Emperor
"Your Highness." He added and kowtowed to the Emperor's son as well as the two kowtowed as well.
"Any News about the She'ngda troops?" The Emperor asked the General as they walked into the palace.
"The troops have made no attempt to move for the past three days and the camp has been filled with them." The General replied.
"This is unacceptable, if we must send for reinforcements here and now." The Emperor said.
"What is the matter?" The General asked as they moved into the a room to discuss the war strategy.
"Ready the army, they sent for reinforcements, they do not wish to jut invade the fortress, they wish to penetrate it.
If they capture the capital, every other territory and fortress shall be useless.
Surround the entire fortress that they cannot take it by surprise, tell the Northern fortress troops to advance from behind and the central fortresses to advance from the front.
We shall be stationed in between and we shall entirely surround the troops." The Emperor said.
"Very well." the General replied.
Suddenly, a guard walked up to the three of them.
"General Wu, Emperor Xiang, the She'ngda troops have been spotted leaving the camp.
"Towards where?" The Emperor asked.
"Away they are leaving." The man replied.
"They are not leaving at all, secure the back gate and reinforce it no less than the front, all parts of the room have to be equally guarded." The emperor said.
"What is it your Majesty?" The General Wu asked.
"They are making a surprise attack, they wish to draw us away and confuse us.
Ready the Archers and pour oil on the surrounding waters, set them alight and burn that camp down." The Emperor said in the midst of other Commanders.
"Sure." General Wu said.
"Secure all the supplies and make not known their precise location, store the food into bits that it may not all be lost at once.
There shall be two shifts of guards and they shall all equally take rest, those to guard during day and others to guard during night." The Emperor told them.
At once the general and other commanders left the room and set out living behind the Emperor and his son.
"Father." Xiang Mao had said before his father raised his hand and halted him.
"I think that it is best once we have suppressed this army that you return to the capital." The Emperor said.
"But why, I can stay with you and we proceed with conquest." Xiang Mao said.
