Tianshi returned to her palace, she had taken care of her two guests from the border.
She had not talked so much to then after her return but she had always come across them.
She was growing fond of the Presence of Lao Yueliang and it had been a week ever since he had left his own Empire.
Tianshi would watch from the window of her suite and gaze at the young Emperor in a distance.
He spent most of his time in the peach tree garden meditating and the Empress rarely visited that place.
One afternoon, Tianshi sat in the peach tree garden playing her flute.
There was an unspoken strength and motivation in every tune that she played.
She was free and let the soft wind brush over her face as she let her fingers shift gently over the holes on the instrument.
She was indeed a talent and the trees around shed their colorful leaves upon her.
The young Emperor was taking a stroll in the garden and he was lost in thought until the white tiger brushed itself against his leg as it passed.
He drew his attention to the creature and watched it go forward until he felt the sweet melody of a flute playing nearby.Without noticing anything, the young Emperor found himself drawn to the source of the very sweet melody.
He looked through the trees and gently walked over until his eyes caught bright scarlet gowns.
He scrambled through the stems that were fairly short to make out who the individual was until his eyes landed on a feminine figure.
His first sight was the very long scarlet hair that fell on the back of the figure which was settled in the shed of one of the trees.
He could not help but stare longingly at the young figure he clearly knew, those closed eyes that tried to feel and appreciate the work of their young mistress.
He could see the white tiger lying beside also captivated and charmed by the tunes.
He admired her beauty, the beauty of the young Empress that he knew he would never have.
His heart had longed to be with her from the very first time that they met, he had actually managed to find someone that he could love more than Lei Lani.
His first glimpse of the young Empress was enough to drag him out of the tragedy that he had lived in for ten whole years, she was the cure to remove that wound and that painful scar no one ever could.
He found himself nearly drooling, he had wanted to tell her the truth, his true identity but he did not have any courage.
He would feel so had if she hated him, he grew to admit it in his heart that he had serious feelings of love for her but could not master the courage this confess them to her as well.
"How long shall you stand there?" He heard that sweet voice and it pulled him out of his thoughts, he had not noticed that she had stopped playing and stared at her.
He moved closer and kowtowed to her.
"Forgive me for interrupting anything Your Majesty." Lao Yueliang said.
He was too kind and too honorable, it was clear that he was always marvelled by her flawless beauty but she did not want to forcefully make him admit it.
"You have not interrupted anything Lao Ming." Tianshi softly said." I am used to having spectators and fans for my music." Tianshi added.
"Your technique of playing is marvellous Your Majesty." Lao Yueliang said.
