PANDEMONIUM
CHAPTER SIXTEEN➝ A REAL-LIFE MONSTER
COLLEEN STILL COULD NOT BELIEVE HER VERY EYES WHEN SHE PUT STEVE'S RED BMW INTO PARK OUTSIDE OF THE HARGROVE HOUSE ON CHERRY LANE, even though she'd been driving for the past ten minutes with an unconscious mullet-wearing psychopath in the backseat. The last thing Colleen wanted to deal with that night was the Byers' coming home to Billy Hargrove passed out in their living room, and him waking up and starting more mayhem when Will finally returned home, safe and sound. She chewed on her nail nervously, looking inside the house to see if either of his parents were home.
But they seemed to be out.
Which meant she could easily sneak him into the house and into his bedroom, without them knowing he was even home. Because his car would still be gone, therefore he would be out because he never went anywhere without his beloved camaro. He was gonna kill her when he woke up to find his car was missing.
She glanced in the backseat, where he was still fast asleep. He looked more peaceful when he slept, and definitely less threatening. She knew he had a temper, but she never thought it was that bad. She blew out a breath, when she heard him stir in his sleep. He was going to wake up soon, and she wouldn't be able to get him into the house before that. "Crap."
She quickly put the car back into drive and she began her descent down the street. She kept driving for about five minutes until she pulled into the parking lot of her destination, just in time as Billy groaned out and opened his eyes. She put the car into park and turned around in her seat, as she saw his eyes meet hers. Then the occurrences of the past hour came back to him and he shot out of his seat. His hand reaching for her but when he noticed where they were... he stopped. Colleen give him a cocky smirk as she adjusted herself, "We're in public. So do anything that I don't like... and I'll scream."
Billy snickered as he leaned back against the seat but once he felt the padded cloth seats he began to look around frantically. This was not his Camaro. "What the fu— where am I? Where the hell is my car! What did you do?"
"What did I do?" She twisted in her seat angrily and moved towards him which caused him to lean back in his seat. She was fuming, "I'm sorry. What did I do? You— you just went after a fucking preteen and you are trying to spin this around on me?"
Billy rubbed the side of his neck, feeling a protruding pain and then he remembered how Max stuck him with a syringe. And then he blacked out at the Byers' home. His blue eyes widened as he looked around the car to look for his step-sister, "Where is Max?"
Colleen let out a soft breath, "Safe."
He started to move to get out of the car, "I need to go find her before Neil finds me."
He opened the car door and bolted out of it but Colleen rushed out of the driver's seat and quickly maneuvered around the car to stop him. "Hey wait," She caught his arm in her hand and pulled him back to face her, "Not so fast. You can't just go looking for her."
