WHERE IS HE?

AFTER WHAT SEEMED LIKE HOURS OF SILENCE BETWEEN THE TWO BEST FRIENDS, Colleen and Steve decided to go inside the Byers' home. Steve walked into the kitchen to find the kids, who were trying to figure out a plan to dispose of the demo-dog that was stuffed in the freezer. And Colleen walked into the living room where Jonathan and Nancy were sitting on the couch. Joyce was in Will's room with him, and helping him get settled back into his room. The kids all said hello him before letting him get some rest for the night. Colleen sat down in the recliner and let out a deep breath, finally letting everything from the past few hours catch up to her.

This felt like the longest day ever...

From walking miles into the woods to the junkyard, to fighting demo-dogs and following them to Hawkins' Lab. To fighting the baby demogorgons at the Byers' house and finding El, to the fight with Billy. Then following, her awkwardly-timed date at the diner and her argument with Lizzie. All the way back to ending back at the Byers. She just wanted to lay down and sleep for a week, but she knew that wasn't possible. Because tomorrow was Monday — and that meant she had another week of school... not to mention all of the homework she was behind on now, from her most recent saving the world escapades. But she was tired.

She let out a sigh as she leaned back against the recliner and it extended out so her legs were propped up on the leg rest. Jonathan looked over and let out a laugh before tossing her a blanket, which she gladly cuddled in.

"I can't believe we have school tomorrow."

Nancy's eyes widened, as though she had forgotten that school was actually a thing that they needed to attend. And she definitely needed to go, since her and Jonathan had skipped the past two days. "Oh my god," She sat up suddenly and Jonathan pulled his arm from around her shoulders. And she sunk her head into her hands, "I totally forgot about school. We probably have so much homework to catch up on," She turned her head towards Jonathan and chewed on her cheek.

Jonathan let out a chuckle, "We couldn't have missed that much work, Nance."

Colleen looked over to find both of them staring at her, awaiting a response about what they missed during those two days. She let out a huff before hoisting herself up out of her laying position and turning to the side, "Um, we had a chemistry lab. A math test on Friday but it was super easy. We have a paper due on Tuesday for history. And a worksheet for English, oh and we had to pick our topic for what our research paper is gonna be on."

Jonathan turned to Nancy, "See I told you, it's not that much. We got this."

Nancy blew out a breath, slightly relieved because she knew that the two of them could easily catch up on all of that work. They both had seemingly good grades. Colleen gave them a smile as Nancy relaxed back into his arms, "Also we have our projects due for photography coming up next week, Jonny."
