Chapter 23: Recovery

Draco's POV

He wakes up from nightmares. His body is too heavy to sit up.

"How is he?" A voice asks from above the bed. It is female and familiar, both comforting and threatening at the same time.

"The doctors seem to think he'll live. They said there might be side effects, though." This time, it's a male's voice, around his age. He knew the comforting voice that sounds so sad, but he can't remember where from.

"What side effects?" The female asks again. A sniffing noise comes from the male.

"Amnesia. He may not remember who either of us are." The male tells the female. He hears the female begin to sob.

"Oh, my baby!" She sobs. The male is silent, but the sound of fabric against skin is coming from where he is sitting.

The boy on the bed tries to open his eyelids. He struggles for a second or two, then reveals his gray eyes underneath.

A male with Raven black hair and green eyes is silently crying, while a woman with blond hair and blue eyes is sobbing, whispering something about her child under her breath.

"W-where am I?" He says to the crying people. The woman sobs louder, and excuses herself from the room. The boy wipes away his tears, and answers.

"You're in St Mungo's Hospital. What do you remember?" The boy asks. He shrugs.

"I remember... That I went to a school called Hogwarts. And... That there's magic. Um... I also remember a war... That's it..." He says. The boy nods sadly, and gives a weak smile.

"Do you remember your name?"

"N-no..." He replies, weakly blinking his eyes.

"You are Draco Malfoy. Your father is Lucius Malfoy, and your mother is Narcissa Malfoy." The boy tells him.

"W-who are you?"

"Me? I'm Harry Potter." The boy replies, giving a weak grin. Something connects in Draco's mind. As the boy stands up to leave, he blurts something out.

"M-my boyfriend?"
